apogee posted In spite of the rabid Berners, the tone is far more positive & uplifting than any speech at the RNC.
5 minutes of Shaheen's speech on the opioid crisis was more substantive than the entire RNC. Most of the speeches have been super positive with a side of Trump bashing.

Why can't people be more respectful of the small minority trying to shout down speakers on stage out of malice that their candidate lost? Moose, one doesn't overcome hate or fear with derision. It just doesn't work. Bernie hasn't even spoken yet. People are upset. Why not be gracious and allow them their anger? If you don't. If you deny them any right to even feel upset, and you only deride them, then you end up strengthening their hurt.
Why not wait and see what Bernie does before trashing people who still support him..

I think this is good. People get to have their cathartic release about breaking up with their Bernfriend and Sanders makes an unequivocal endorsement of Clinton. We spend the next 3 nights building to Hillary. It seems unlikely they're going to keep trying to disrupt the speeches every night.

bernie is without doubt the definition [and one of the very few examples in american federal politics] of a public servant.
