Sketch, you think yourself as smart, I can tell.

You throw out lines like this:

"You give me flack for not knowing about Media Matters' story was about more than Sunday morning shows, even though I covered the evening news."

Whoa, you covered the evening news. Smart boy, no doubt.

But I, with a simple Google search, can find pages upon pages of links supporting my claim. And from all manner of news sources (well, except conservative news sources).

Look, here's another quote:

Our research revealed that coverage in the New York Times, Washington Post, L.A. Times and Wall Street Journal over this period significantly diverged from widespread agreement by many climate science communities that humans play a part in climate change. We attributed this mismatch in part to a misapplication of the journalistic norm of “balanced reporting.” The findings we described in the piece gained traction in science, policy, media and the public.

See, I highlighted the part that supports my claim.

Took me about 30 seconds to find half-a dozen more articles that back me up.

Boy, will you look like a foolish fish out of water if you can't find even one news story that goes against my claim. You know, the thing where you said, "You're whining about something you just made up."

So put up, or wither away in disgrace.

Look on the last page at Sketch's post ( easy to read graphic from Legates 2013 courtesy of C. Monckton) of the bright red circle with 99.5% non consensus you ignorant hillbilly Capntheazzhole. There you will see the good humored righting of data falsely presented by Cook et al. Ditto Bruce Gay.

I don't know of any media outlet that denies AWG.

Again, old news. Kind drops a big old turd on your stupid claim.

I'm not surprised you're backing away from easily finding other stories. Your claim was just more posturing.

Your claim is still unsupported. Safe to say it's just a stupid lie.

I love to prove that Sketch's contributions amount to Zero:

Come on now Sketch, just one story to back up your statements.

Or, you can just wither away...

Your graphic is bigger and it is RED. But I don't see the words 'peer-reviewed.'

Which makes it a big red graphic.

How's your flame bait/complaint graph going sketchy?

As usual information about honorable people filters through the Bruce's twisted brain and emerges as lies out of his fingers to electronically smear. Where are the communities he left hanging in ruination, where are the testimonials from disgruntled local politicians and labor unions, or charges from environment Canada? Where are his substantiated misdeeds, other than outgrowing the radical environmentalism of youth upon realization it was being coopted for use by international criminal organizations to the detriment of all but the privileged few?

Rick,

Please post links to the non AGW literature. I will read it.

No blog posts or websites. Just the raw science.

Say Sketch, thanks's for that viewpoint from an ExxonMobile-funded "scientist":

According to the News Journal, "the Union of Concerned Scientists published a study listing Legates among several scientists it described as 'familiar spokespeople from ExxonMobil-funded organizations' that have regularly taken stands or sponsored reports questioning the science behind climate change warnings."[12] Legates is a senior scientist of the Marshall Institute,[13] a research fellow with the Independent Institute,[14] and an adjunct scholar of the Competitive Enterprise Institute,[15] all of which have received funding from ExxonMobil.[16][17]

Thanks for that contribution TGT:

Publishers withdraw more than 120 gibberish papers

Among the works were, for example, a paper published as a proceeding from the 2013 International Conference on Quality, Reliability, Risk, Maintenance, and Safety Engineering, held in Chengdu, China.

Okay Base, this should be right up your alley.

For what lie Norton? Everything I put forth is my sincere interpretation of the sum total of what I've read. Been around too long and witnessed too many lies to fall for CAGW narrative.

Concerning CAGW,Would we be more oppressed with the way Rick predicts?

Or just continue down the road of corporate oppression happening now?

No one is a slave to big oil now,RIGHT.....

Why wade? Well it validates parts of my recent points 1 and 2 and like I said it is right up Base's alley. Also he asked for non AGW papers to read, of which there are thousands.

Sketch, cool post. I certainly appreciate the positive focus.

What have I done about raising AWG awareness? Truth be told, not much. Other than trying to correct misconceptions when I talk to people I run into, I just mumble to myself. It'd be misleading to consider this a "grassroots" effort.

A while ago, I was getting all worked up over the news. My GF said, "Why do you follow the news?"

It's a good question. Unless you're actually going to *do* something about it, why raise your blood pressure? It's a better spend of your time to go off and do something real, something productive.

In other news, I just saw the following headline:

Public Broadcasters Relying More and More On Corporate Funding
Jeff Cohen: PBS show "Pension Peril", funded by a billionaire with interest in shaping public pension policy, follows a trend of public broadcasters growing increasingly dependent on corporate funds

When corporations run all our MSM, including our "public" broadcasting, the only message we hear is the corporate one. For this reason, I actively support independent news outlets.

Other than that Sketch, you are right. If we want change, we ourselves must bring it about. As Wes “Scoop” Nisker (a San Francisco broadcaster) famously said, "If you don't like the news, got out and make some of your own."

I like squabbling as much as the next child. but i do appreciate the positive tone of your post. sets a good example.

What have you done to raise awareness on this issue?

What are you going to do?

This is just for the last few months. and only related to driving. there's more....
