What a great photo! Most people don't realize what an absolute paradise the San Fernando Valley was at one time. Nothing but orange blossoms and dry distant spaces.

I was at stoney last night, and fell off three pigs... Initially just thought I would be sore today, but my ankle swelled enough for a Dr. visit. Long story short I have an avulsion fracture and a compression fracture. When I'm off of crutches I'll be back to watch until I can climb again... I'm already bored out of my mind!!!!
Anyone know of any good one legged traverses at stoney ;-)

Thanks, I appreciate it. I think I met Guy last Wednesday when I was still working the three pigs. He was there with another guy named David, who was showing me an alternative way.

Hope you heal up quickly. The price of bouldering can be steep but the pay off is priceless...
Thanks for the photo memory Matt, I wore that cast for almost 6 mo. I just had to figure out how to get in some climbing.

After Shock is soon to be an after thought!!!
For those trying the problem the problem goes from the rail straight up to the arete, all holds out left, or up and left from the rail are off.
Here is Mike Flood sticking the crux move. His hand is on the upper rail. that rial is on. The incut hold below the edge is off. Most people hit the rail a few inches lower then bump up.

nope, cuz I'm about to SEND!!!
I've only tried it a few times before, all of which were at lest 2 years ago. Then I hurt my shoulder and have been taking it easy. now its starting to feel better again and I'm feeling a bit stronger and more comfortable trying harder stuff. Tuesday I tried it again and was closer than ever before. Losing 13 pounds since the start of august has helped too.
