In the spirit of adventure, I made the mistake of going to the twitter page. I used to be fairly techno-savvy and made good money doing it, but I'm no longer in the loop.

back to the topic at hand
whilst living in Hollywood, I met and played basketball with Marvin Gaye at the YMCA.
He invited us down to the studio on Sunset to watch him record
..
this isn't my photo, but it's Marvin recording at his studio all right. I can vouch for it. What's missing? The huge sack of vitamins he was gobbling down. The band liked the herbal sacrament, but Marvin preferred massive vitamin doses (at work at least).

hey there say, mouse... wow, neat new street adventurers...
wow, it is so easy to type now.. but now the RAT keeps getting in the way...
this makes good time for her to get out and visit me, as, lately i been so busy....
say, i remember wayyyy back, when i did 'the so called zumba' stuff, in my own home, when i had my babies, and could not get out much, during the day...
it was, cumbian, tejano, and all the etc...
only then:
it was just called using dance for exercise, in artistic fun ways...
very creative, it was...
so happy for her to teach this stuff...
i did teach dance classes once, when there was enough folks around to
actually WANT to do it (and not miss their tv shows etc)..
and--i LOVED having a huge mirror--brings back good memories...
had one way back, when the kids were young though.. cost a lot to
put it up in the house but was worth it when i taught belly dance...
and now, you have found more neat art!!!
he had inspired me to someday do a large painting...
sadly, the large size that i like, they do not carry at the hobby sotre,
here... sotre = store, by the way, i constantly type it wrong...
(have just decided,if i leave it and do this enough, i just might type 'store' on purpose, someday, instead of as having to FIX it... :))
well, happy street adventure, and keep on sharing...
all those you meet, are part of history, here, now... :))

I'm hungry. I've been down on the race course since sun-sight and it's already been quite a day. Got to let my camera battery re-charge. I forgot to do that last night. I'm going out to look for a breakfast, maybe the Tuscan Scramble at Bella Luna. Gene, wish you were here, I'd feed you one of these, too.
Call me and leave a message, but I should be down on the corner of Main and M at the Cinema Cafe later on.

Just a few years after he was nominated for an Oscar for his supporting role in The Story of G.I. Joe, Robert Mitchum was arrested and convicted for conspiracy to possess marijuana. TIME reported on the scandal surrounding the "sleepy-eyed cinemactor" in 1948, complete with a footnote explaining what marijuana was. In 1949 Mitchum was sentenced to two months in jail and two years of probation, which only complimented his rebel persona. He served time on an honor farm — he said it was "like Palm Springs without the riff-raff" — but after his probation, the conviction was expunged

That's my mail delivery associate from the USPO, a reliable witness. Three women's bikes were trashed as a result, two went to the first aid tent, one went and picked up a neutral bike and finished. Hardly any blood. Just loud and what we wanted to see, after all...

This is the secondary Beer tent, one other over by the band two blocks over. There were stories told over our lunch at Bella Luna about Sheriff Mark and my checkered past and about Gene's. We walked back to the course after lunch and the ladies' major race was going on. The wreck happened just as we came back to Middle Earth.
Gene called CosmicCragsman shortly after this wreck, when we got down N ST. to the Courthouse Park where the finish line was. The trees in the park started putting out buds like crazy as soon as they hung up. It was like Stark Trek the Movie...no, Gene don't play that thing. I was just reacting to what I'd like to have seen. More green on the trees.
Cosmice, it was spiffy to talk with you. Ciao.
Well, the next bunch is of the canines, who were universlly well-mannered and gentle. But first things first.

Winner of Don Mossman Best Apehangers Award, my neighbor Dottore Deep Purple, an Italian racing legend of the late nineties. He has the coolest set of tires on this rig, too. Winners of the last race of the day, a real close finish.
The next three finishers were decided by photos, they tied, then by count-backs in the race.
Then the leader's jersey (another race in the country tomorrow) was presented to Wonder Boy, who won a road race yesterday and placed second in his criterium category today.
