Notice how LARRY HAMILTON has NEVER posted any viable solution/s. NONE. EVER!

Perhaps you could remind of of the many viable solutions you've posted, Chef…

...and yes, that's irony.

This is how Sagan defined the Straw Man argument:

•straw man -- caricaturing a position to make it easier to attack

When somebody calls AGW science a "religion," that right there is a straw man argument.

edit: look at the post above. I refuse to type his name.

In his second sentence he replies by calling his opponent a CLOWN (his caps), and a freak.

the redemption seeking OIL MAN

An ad hominem AND a straw man in a single sentence. This pitiful character doesn't have a clue when it comes to critical thinking.

So how do we viably do that NORTON when the population keeps growing and needs more and more to survive?

Please do tell ...

I don't have the answer to your question of how we do that, chief

and yes, especially since the population keeps growing IS making our situation worse

however chief, I think it is a good thing we are recognizing the problem and talking about it

that is always the first step to trying to solve problems right?

are we ultimately screwed and doomed to extinction as a species, maybe so

but shouldn't we go down fighting anyway rather than do nothing and let it happen?

seems we humans don't DO anything until we absolutely have to, like China limiting each couple to only one child, they know they have a population/resources problem and yes did something about it

we CAN try to limit CO2 emissions maybe by better filtration and also by lessening our dependence on burning fossil fuels

there ARE things we can do right now and at least we are arguing and discussing them

Guess what CLOWN.... NEWS FLASH! I am not here to support your sorry sides ASG ECO FREAK ass.
It is useless people such as yourself that just rant on and on about eco freak shet that need to do that.
You and the others here have none! NONE.

NONE

None? NONE? NONE?

none what?

more insightful, cogent commentary from the Irony Chef.

Do YOU even know WTF you're trying to say, Chef?

How much more comical can you get...

More caps and bold type would surely get your point across…if you had one, Chef

In the mean time, you have Pro-AGW people on this thread posting up on other threads how they drive around on their weekend climbing adventures in their VANS and 4x4 SPORTSMOBILES etc.

You arrived at this idiotic assumption the same way you"know Science is wrong." The thought popped into your empty head and you were too surprised to process it further.

Let's do some "critical Thinking" Base.

California is facing crisis not only because of governmental incompetence but also partly because they were out saving the planet with reductions in CO2 from power plants, automobiles, and industry instead of thinking locally about real world issues ( like the droughts that repeatedly strike the region) that will have a much more immediate and significant negative impact than any positive global impact from their puny efforts of CO2 reduction. So, do they belatedly double down on dumbness and spend a few billion more on the bullet train and other environmentally orgasmic projects, or do they do something to help themselves before the taps run dry? There is a little fish in the delta, a smelt i believe; do they continue to divert precious H2O for this tiny fish's well being or do they use that water to sustain population? Do they take stock of the Colorado's watershed and immediately make deals with other states dependent upon it for any possible surplus, or do they throw their hands up in the air and cry climate change? Do they divert any alternative energy funds and/or monies from non workable mass transit schemes to additional reservoir storage, god forbid-additional plans for river damning instead of their demolition, pipelines from the better watered north, planning for de-salination plants? As a critical thinker, what would Base hazard to guess would be the course the loons running California take during this forseeable crisis?

On another note Base; wouldn't it be far more effective to macerate and inject, that portion of the population religious enough about climate change to have the courage to volunteer, down the injection wells rather than wacking the forests then biociding and burying them, like you suggested a few days back?

Sketch is channeling Bob Tisdale.

Tisdale believes El-Ninos warm the global surface temps, but La-Ninos do not cool proportionally. Thus, he claims, the warming in the last 40 years, is natural.

Ed, aside from your support of the crusade to save planet Earth from climate change destruction through decreased personal freedoms in favor of the welfare of the "collective", and properly pricing use of the atmosphere by punitive taxation education, what are you doing to alleviate the immediate water crisis in the golden state? For instance, are you using the toilet more often between flushes, bathing less and using more scented anti-perspirants, letting the unnatural yard vegatation, i.e. lawn, plants and trees fend for themselves minus manmade irragation, etc. etc. You do have a plan to mitigate the personal negative impacts if one day you open your tap and only air hisses forth? I hope it is better than Base's plan of carbon sequestration through wacking down the woods, biociding, and burial.

I can't speak for Ed, but:

For instance, are you using the toilet more often between flushes

Usually gets flushed 3-4 times a day. Once every poop and once after the morning hydration/coffee routine is finished.

bathing less

~3 times a week, <5 min a shower. Pretty standard when I'm not working.

using more scented anti-perspirants

I haven't used anti-antiperspirant or deodorant since ~1990

letting the unnatural yard vegatation

Yep, reseeded with mostly native vegetation too. Rich organic layer to help hold in the moisture.

How about you? Do you do anything for anyone but yourself? You should get a spell checker, they are cheap... you should pay less than $50.

Weschrist,

Good thing there are universities for you to work, because not even McDonalds would hire someone who can't take a shower and use deodorant.
