^^^"Did not get the memo."
Day at the Bizarre
Have you ever wandered into an environment
Where potatoes do not exist
Where zRusset replaces zBrown
Where sixes are nines
Where sixteen syllables make a haiku
Where Courtright Reservoir is all wrong
Where holds exist only in your imagination
Where Ed Hartouni cannot out-think the average middle-aged corvus
Where CosmicCragsman loves polka-dots
Where garden gnomes walk about bareheaded
Where Flip-Flop is forevermore known as Flop-Flip
Where moose are not allowed to imbibe alcoholic beverages (!)
Where mice have three tails in case of emergencies and train for them blind-folded?

Buckets of Mud
Hooven Dam might be a better, more alternate name, a bowdlerized name, sorta like.
Hoover Dam was not a solid block of concrete, but rather a jigsaw puzzle of individual blocks,
called "lifts," measuring 25 to 60 feet to a side and no more than five feet in depth.
Construction proceeded in a series of blocks because the volume of concrete being poured at one time
had to be limited to prevent excessive heat and cracking.
The liquid concrete was poured into a wooden framework called a "form" that held the concrete in place as it hardened.
When a section had cooled and hardened sufficiently, the form was dismantled and moved up
and the next five-foot high layer was poured.
Eventually the blocks formed columns as tall as the dam was high, interlocking like a giant Lego set.
Finally, highly liquid cement was poured into the spaces between the columns to bond them
together into a single massive structure.

The dam was one of my grandad's earliest construction gigs.
And on paydays there was joy in Mudville.

Folk Festing
The Flames gathered to the number of three
In a yellow bug packed to the number of six
Lebanese blonde danced all day in heads
Eventually, inevitable apathy prevailed
The evening's slow procession of vehicles
Became a string of pearls heading north on One

So the form followed the function or what.
Dammit I can never keep it straight.
We have two of the dimensions (25-60 x 5), but how many mirons thick were the sheets. It'sy important for our materials requisition for our 3D printer version we're putting together to wall off the Mexicans and their annoying radios from Amerika.
