Route 66:
The western terterminus was located at the Pacific Coast Highway, then US 101 Alterternate and now SR 1, in Santa Monica, California.
A left takes you to SD, home of the Cavemen.

I've only encountered one fellow who had a pet 'coon'.

I leased a house in Seattle and sub-let the basement to a guy and his coon. He went to school during the day while the coon slept. At night he would study but seemingly most nights it sounded like a war down there. Some mornings he'd come out of his hole clearly having gotten the worst of it. LOL!

One advantage of "cooning-up" (as we called it down at Wood's Cove, at least when Bette Davis wasn't around) is that whilst dogs are explicitly banned from the beach, no such prohibition exists for raccoons.

So the guy would bring him on down as the saying goes and attempt to 'discipline' it with a two inch dowl.

The raccoon would look back at him and you clearly could see that it was thinking "bring it, is that all you got".

If you can read this, you've got a better eye surgeon than I do and mine is pretty damn good. BTW after my epiretinal membrane peel (glad I did not watch the video before surgery) I'm right about 20/25 in my right eye after about 5 days.

I don't hink Ted done it thisaway.

Local section SD Union Tribune (not union made in America)

"FOUR STUDENTS STABBED IN FIGHT NEAR HOOVER HIGH"

Is "Theodore the Thumper" turning over in his grave regretting that choice not to go to San Diego High (which btw is actually in Balboa Park).

The school was going to ge the boot, but

A measure renewing the lease of San Diego High School to be located in Balboa Park was on the ballot for San Diego voters in San Diego County, California, on November 8, 2016. It was approved.

Oh yeah, Phoenix Reclinata, Balboa Park. Is it the one? I'm looking for Vincent Price as I type.

First reports of the bombing of Pearl Harbor were received here in our own front yard down in IB.

And what is it today, you ask? The area is being converted to a quite large Navy SEAL training facility at the end of which was probably one of the worst surf breaks in all of California known as "Shacks". Looking on the bright side, it was a safe place to drink beer without being hassled by "The Man" (not Vincent P).

North Island? Boy, howdy, did we 19 yr old Middies pound down the 25 cent
gin and tonics at the Officers Club there, or what? Good thing we had a
carrier to walk back to - anything smaller and we'd a probably missed it.

The radio facility was south of North Island, within easy running distance.

We used to piggyback on one dependent ID to get onto the base and drink out at the enlisted men's club at the beach.

I was arrested by the MP's after I trespassed into Navy waters and lost my surfboard. They took me to some higher up and I had to sign an agreement that I would never trespass again. I haven't

I'm putting in a FOI request as we speak for the actual document.

Don't go past the white tipped poles if you know what's good for you. Unless of course you have a leash. If you look closely you'll see me standing up near the lighthouse (which requires your Senior Pass, but not official Navy ID to visit).

You don't get this sort of coverage from the once-Great Lakes NTC, folks.

Thank you for your own distinguished disservice, Ensign zBrown.

Can one of the builders in the group tell me the purpose of placing these square tubes up there? Solar energy? Hot water for showers? A pipe organ? A guzzler for pigeons?

All I can think is that a raccoon chewed through my display cable. It makes a nice reflective surface though.

You can call me Mister Brown and don't mess with any more of those palm trees, hear?

My medical records at a hospital I am known to frequent are now accessible via a mere wave of my palm.

It was optional, but I thought it was a good idea (though not for that friend of Casper on the other thread).

What if you have a sore throat and can't talk or have OD'd on acetaminophen?

Perhaps some of the above, plus shading the roof area. Does the pitch face south?

Yes, the pitch is facing south.

He's a southpaw.

And his most effective pitch?

Just got off the phone with the Rev up in Greeley Hill. He was clueless about the evacuation advisory so I advised him to get his stuff together and prepare to leave.

He has no computer, so he is without info except for what I gave him.

Denny and Jeff.It happened at Sunset Inn, it could happen at Camp Runamucka.
