the good news: barry's dhs has, apparently, decided "terrorist" is an acceptable term for referring to...er...terrorists
the bad news: the latest security report from barry's dhs makes no mention--zero, zilch, zip, nada, none--to islam in any form
at least, barry is committed to keeping us safe from political incorrectness

so, what did you guys buy last year with the less Federal income tax
you paid from your paychecks thanks to Obama giving YOU a tax credit?
Did you stimulate the economy or just banked the tax cut?

I bought a house. The only problem is that moving has taken up a month of weekends -- many of them climbable.

Ron, are you referring to this Yahoo article?:
Few Americans Want Members of Congress Re-Elected, Poll Finds
Bloomberg.com
Jonathan D. Salant – Fri Feb 12, 12:27 am ET
"The job President Barack Obama is doing was approved of by 46 percent; disapproving were 45 percent. In a December CBS-New York Times poll, his approval rating was 50 percent, while 39 percent disapproved.
In the new poll, 60 percent of respondents said Obama understood people like themselves, compared with 42 percent for congressional Democrats and 35 percent for congressional Republicans.
Still, 52 percent said they disapproved of the way Obama is handling the economy, while 42 percent approved. And 55 percent said they disapproved of his handling of the health-care issue, while 35 percent approved."

Ron, Yahoo is definitely a right-leaning media source. Not as far as FauxNews, to be sure, but right-leaning nonetheless. They pick and choose their articles from a wide variety of news sources....Bloomberg.com- which political ideology would that kind of business-oriented source likely hold, huh?
Still, hard to blame anyone for wanting to see Congress thrown out- the political gridlock and progress is about as pathetic as I've ever seen it, with no signs of movement. Feck 'em, I say- throw them all out!

The economy is so huge that anything they do to change the rules
will hurt large numbers of people.
DC gridlock is a blessing unless you'll personally profit from news laws.
Assurance of gridlock for the next 3 years would be such a relief and allow businesses to plan ahead for growth and hiring more employees.

Sorry I've got to go back to Sarah Palin's palm again because I just realized something and it shows Why are those Republicans so wrong on everything.
She has "Budget cuts" with the word Budget crossed out and taxes written in underneath. So she doesn't want to say republicans will cut the budget, they'll cut taxes! Yey, no pain all gain... right? This is what Bush did, cut taxes but spend more in. Democrats tax and spend. Republicans borrow and spend. That's why our deficits are sky high.
Which begs the question: who do you think would be the more incompetent president Bush or Palin?
It's almost a toss up, but I think I'm going to have to go with Palin being worse.

http://totalbuzz.freedomblogging.com/2010/02/09/buena-park-pastor-prayed-for-murthas-death/29903/
Southern Baptist Pastor Wiley Drake of Buena Park sent out an email Monday night, saying that perhaps his prayers had been answered with the death of Rep. John Murtha yesterday.
“Maybe God took him out,” Drake wrote. “Maybe God Answered our IMPRECATORY prayer that we prayed every 30 days.”
The Pennsylvania congressman, a decorated former Marine who fiercely opposed the Iraq war, died at the age of 77 after complications from gallbladder surgery.
I asked Drake if his statements weren’t distasteful, particularly coming immediately after Murtha’s death. He said that as a Christian, he didn’t buy into the sentiment of not speaking ill of the dead.
“It’s not distasteful to pray the word of God and include somebody’s name,” he said. “I didn’t celebrate his death. I said maybe it was God’s answer to our imprecatory prayer.”
Drake regularly asks his “prayer warriors” to participate in prayer targeting “unrighteous” politicians. He typically uses Psalms 109, including these passages including in his Monday email: “Let his days be few; and let another take his office.” And, “Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.”
At one point, Drake prayed for the death of President Barack Obama. However, he dropped that because he wants to see Obama faces charges that he is not a natural-born citizen and so cannot be president. Drake has such a lawsuit on appeal.
Drake said he and his prayer warriors had been praying for Murtha’s death for four or five months. Among other things, Drake said Murtha’s use of profanity and his use of God’s name in vain. Beside praying for the death of specific politicians, he said they pray for “politicians in general who are taking unrighteous stands.”

Veeeeerrrrry interesting WaPo/ABC News poll that came out today...pretty dire news for both sides of the political aisle, Palin, and the teabaggers, too...
Poll finds most Americans are unhappy with government
Washington Post-ABC poll examines public opinion regarding the tea party movement.
By Jon Cohen and Philip Rucker
Washington Post Staff Writer
Thursday, February 11, 2010
Two-thirds of Americans are "dissatisfied" or downright "angry" about the way the federal government is working, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll. On average, the public estimates that 53 cents of every tax dollar they send to Washington is "wasted."
Despite the disapproval of government, few Americans say they know much about the "tea party" movement, which emerged last year and attracted voters angry at a government they thought was spending recklessly and overstepping its constitutional powers. And the new poll shows that the political standing of former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, who was the keynote speaker last week at the first National Tea Party Convention, has deteriorated significantly.
"...nearly two-thirds of those polled say they know just some, very little or nothing about what the tea party movement stands for."
Although Palin is a tea party favorite, her potential as a presidential hopeful takes a severe hit in the survey. Fifty-five percent of Americans have unfavorable views of her, while the percentage holding favorable views has dipped to 37, a new low in Post-ABC polling.
There is a growing sense that the former Alaska governor is not qualified to serve as president, with more than seven in 10 Americans now saying she is unqualified, up from 60 percent in a November survey. Even among Republicans, a majority now say Palin lacks the qualifications necessary for the White House.
"The new poll shows Republicans divided about the tea party movement, which threatens to cause a rift in the lead-up to November's midterm elections. Two-thirds of those calling themselves "strong Republicans" view the movement favorably, compared with 33 percent among "not very strong Republicans."
"Overall opinion is about evenly split, with 35 percent of all Americans holding favorable views of the movement and 40 percent unfavorable ones. A quarter expressed no opinion. Nearly six in 10 Democrats have unfavorable views, while independents are split, 39 percent positive and 40 percent negative."
"The new poll offers a portrait of tea party supporters as overwhelmingly white, mostly conservative and generally disapproving of Obama."
