I wish I had met and climbed with Bill.

Love to all his family and friends, especially those that were with him at the end.

Climb on Bill.

well said Will. A lot of us are in that place. Youwere one of the captains of this operation and its going to be even more confusing and vaque for you.

For now all I can muster is a zappa radio marathon here, in Wolf City, ten miles down a dirt road east of Devil's Tower.

Jay, I've always loved that photo of us all. I can't remember what he or you said but whatever it was it cracked me up. And Laura. And Skip. Thanks Mister E for capturing a great moment.

Wydefest was such a good time. I remember exactly where we were when that pic was taken...watching scuffy b on The Good, The Bad and the Ugly on the Wart in Real Hidden Valley.

Will, I understand where you are at. You were so close to all of this. I'm having trouble too articulating things, just been thinking of the good times we had and keeping strong through the hard times right now. This will hit hard at some point. Kinda did Saturday evening watching the sun go down in the park and knowing he with us when the day began and now wasn't with us any more. That he's not there anymore to capture the amazing pictures like the one you posted of that sunset that he took. That he's not here to make us laugh, tell his crazy stories...and just be such an amazing friend and person.

I think I'll feel that way every weekend when I'm out there for some time to come. Billy and Joshua Tree have such a deep connection for me. So many memories there with him. It was home to us. Still is for me. I'm going to feel a sadness when I see amazing sunsets or things that I know he'd see, capture and share and love. But at the same time I know wherever he his, I hope he's appreciating them. And I will too.

I just miss him.

Thinking of you.

Beth, Steve York shot a video that includes this moment and captures whatever it was, I think, I, said. It's on the fetish somewhere. Totally eerie to watch that moment in time unfold all over again.

That's one of my favorites as well! That was a great day in a great event! We are fortunate people!

Hi everyone,

It has been brought to my attention that the photographs I posted yesterday were self serving and inappropriate and offended or upset many of you. I am sincerely and deeply sorry to have caused pain and never would intentionally post something to hurt anyone.

I have used photography since I was a child as a tool of expression. I have forgotten over the years that my images have the possibility of eliciting strong emotion and can cause pain. I am thankful to be reminded of this lesson.

In this circumstance, it is not important enough to me to express myself in my natural way if it has the possibility of hurting anyone and I feel terrible that I did not consider this before posting.

I have removed the post. I'm so sorry.

I, for one, loved and appreciated that post quite a bit. Very poignant.
would have archived it had I known it was going away.

Dear Agent Angel

Dont feel bad as you have done nothing wrong.

Like Jaybro I appreciated your timeline and story photos.

Blitzo seemed so at peace.

I dont like to have to see people die but it is reality.

Thank you for being his new friend , its obvious it meant a lot to him.

I love that shot. That was such a fun day. God that was over four years ago but seems like just yesterday.

What a crew. Locker, Billy, Steve L, Sioux Juan, Phil Bircheff and myself on a spring weekend in the Alabama Hills. Myles Moser around there somewhere too out of the picture.

Oh heck you all, I'm so sorry. I never had the pleasure of meeting Blitzo, but given the company he kept and the photos y'all took: ... i'm just sorry.

x15 on Mountain Project it seems like every area you search for includes a pic by Blitzo.

I have a friend heading up to Rock Creek today and told her to check out Patricia Bowl. Looked it up for her on MP to show her and sure enough, of the three photos of the area one of them was Billy's.

His photos and all the places he's been and shared with us will always be around. And he was so generous with sharing those photos online.

Learned a lot about Blitzo by reading through this post, including all the time he spent in the Tetons.

This morning driving through the park for a job, there was a small rainbow over Mt. Buck. Made me think, awe look, Billy is visiting. Nice, made me smile.
