It is "funny weird" that you mention numbers, Gnome. I performed a "FUNCTION TEST" for some medico over at the old hospital campus last week, but no one in Fresno has the results. No numbers to work with, so they cannot possibly tell me if I'm fit for surgery. Need to call over there and get them the right fax number this morning.

Nothing like a ten-minute gab with Cosmic to cleanse the palette.

Las Vegas got scorched, but we got to 97° is all (so far today), with Monday and Tuesday looking like 109°.
The shot of Miles Creek is years old, from the drought year of 2013. Miles Creek has water running in it now, making frogs very happy.

Golf Report with The Golf Scorer (me)
Good morning! Mind if I play through?
A very odd year for the US Open, being played in Wisconsin this year.
A commercial blimp crashed to the ground and caught fire just outside the course Thursday, about the time the county health department was analyzing samples that confirmed evidence of the E. coli bacteria in water at a hydration station near the 12th hole. The USGA is providing complimentary bottled water the rest of the week. There have been no reports yet of anyone getting sick.
And then Friday, a 94-year-old man at the tournament for the first time stopped breathing while in a grandstand on the sixth hole and died of what Washington County officials said appeared to be natural causes.
Medical staff on call.
