!@!@!@

That should be national headline news, and a springboard for a conversation about our democracy, the polarization of two dominant parties, and the way it hurts most people who support either of the dominant parties in our country.

Instead, we have reached a level of societal beat-down that a strong majority of us don't expect or strive for more.

The last one was lost becasue progressives adopted the fringe-right's Hillary narrative as their own and then turned their noses up at her in significant enough numbers to lose. And as icing on the cake, their ceaseless droning managed to turn off young people and minorities from voting at all.

If trump was a democrat, impeachment proceedings would have flown through the house sixteen months ago

Fixed it for you.

Kanye West, who regularly deviates from reality, Tweeted this a few days ago:

Bill Cosby Innocent!!!!!!!!!!!

Kanye also Tweeted that he and Trump have "Dragon Energy", which is an upgrade from Charlie Sheen's Vatican Assassin Warlock Tiger Blood.

I believe Kanye is releasing an album in the near future which explains all the outrageousness.

The thing he and Trump have in common is that they share the rare talent of attracting the admiration of legions of human manatees.

There's a theory that Harvard basically gave Obama honors he didn't deserve on merit (remind anyone of a certain Nobel?), and neither Harvard or Obama wanted Obama's actual grades released because that would expose the affair. Not saying I believe this, just that it's out there.

blabby - You obviously know nothing about how law schools operate. editor of the harvard law review is about 100 times a greater honor than any good grades. If appointing him editor was a scam to elevate an unknown black man / Manchurian candidate then the grades would have been fixed too. Law school grades mean absolutely nothing in the real world.

Meanwhile Trump went through Wharton? Doubtful he completed the class work, his grasp of economics is mind numbing.

HealyJ, why are the hardest HRC supporters I know, including women of your generation, re-registering as Independents?

Because they want to ensure a gop majority in the house in November and re-elect trump in 2020.

And there it is. Elect our garbage insider candidate or you'll get their garbage candidate.

And let's ignore 45% of our base and pick Timmy Kaine as VP.

This headline is from today, but it could have been from any time in the past 30 years:

Entering Trump's orbit often ends with a crash landing

Trump is definitely getting close to a full-scale neurological meltdown. Voluntarily disclosing incriminating information about oneself is normally something that is done in a lawyer's office, or in a confessional, and not on the telephone with Fox and Friends during a live television broadcast.

As the pressure builds, and Trump's battle with reality becomes more and more untenable, his frontal lobes, which control complex thought and voluntary behavior, will begin to shut down as a defense mechanism. The conflicts within his own mind will be recognized as a threat to survival, and the brain will compensate by shutting down dysfunctioning cerebral regions. Partial loss of cerebellar function, which controls balance and coordination, may result in the president falling over. The brain stem will ultimately seize primary neurological control of the organism, to maintain homeostasis.

*George W Bush was admitted to Yale in 1964 under an affirmative-action policy for children of alumni — what colleges call a “legacy” system. “Legacy” policies — preferential treatment of children of alumni

*Bush never released his high-school grades from Andover — an elite New England prep school that his father had also attended — or his SAT scores. But when The New Yorker got hold of Bush’s Yale records, it discovered that he scored a 566 on the verbal SAT and a 640 on the math SAT — 180 points below the median score for his Yale classmates

Clearly, this proves that white people like George W Bush can only get into good colleges with the aid of Affirmative Action Programs

but George was a Credit to His Race, he did graduate in spite of low racial genetic intelligence.

The original poster causing this "affirmative action" nonsense talk is a racist who still can't handle an only half white man being President, hence his constant Obama Derangement

there is no logical basis for an assertion that the editor of the Harvard Law review was given any preference whatsoever or an assumption that his grades must be worse than Kerry's, unless you are simply a racist.

suck on that one, blah

Blahblah! I can only sigh for your continued attempts to demean Obama on this thread.

Do you have any idea how sick & racist all your carefully-worded protests look to anyone, but another racist.

Schist duede! I live in Idaho & I'm a Republican & your posts still stink of hate for Obama, but also your own racism, however you try to slyly mention that you are just quoting other (racist) sources.

From Blahblah:
There's a theory that Harvard basically gave Obama honors he didn't deserve on merit (remind anyone of a certain Nobel?), and neither Harvard or Obama wanted Obama's actual grades released because that would expose the affair. **Not saying I believe this, just that it's out there.
**
If Obama really had top notch grades, it does seem likely he would have released them, especially since other presidential candidates have done so. (By the same token, I do think Trump's tax returns would expose all sorts of unsavory things.)

As Jon Beck mentions:

blabby - You obviously know nothing about how law schools operate. editor of the harvard law review is about 100 times a greater honor than any good grades.

And Blahblah whines about Obama some more:

The theory is Harvard gave Obama the honors without regard to his grades.
Harvard was heavily invested in politicizing having the first black (half black really, but who's counting) editor of their law review. That's clear from contemporaneous records.
About the only real "facts" we have is that Obama refused to release his transcripts, notwithstanding that they were the subject of legitimate public interest and there was clear recent precedent to release college transcripts for presidential candidates.

I don't know how they do it in your country, but I can tell you that in the US, people who graduate from law schools generally provide transcripts to potential employers.

Isn't a presidential candidate looking for a job from the American people?

**I would say it's almost certain that Obama's actual grades were worse than what he calculated people would assume they were. That's why he didn't release them.

Where is Trump's transcript? Turn about's fair play.......

And where are Trump's taxes? They would seem to be 'the subject of legitimate public interest'. Even more than grades.

Trump can’t even get right what school he went to, much less claim grades from it.

He keeps saying he graduated from Wharton business school when he did not.
That’s a grad school - probably the best business school in the World.

His degree is a BA in economics, not business, from the much less prestigious Wharton school of the university of Pennsylvania after two years at Fordham.

He also claimed to graduate first in his class, which he also did not. He didn’t even make the deans list, which is published each year by the university newspaper.

See for yourself.

ok. so, i willingly took the hansen challenge. and watched the whole fox and friends “interview”... or more correctly “deranged old man rant”.

i went in expecting to be bored by the same ole, same ole...

but, damn.

that shIt was next level.

when one can watch, in explicit and horrifyingly slow motion, the last bit of remaining soul, that had been inside of the made up doofusi behind the camera, slowly and excruciatingly leave their bodies...

well, you have to know this whole show is headed to an even stranger collective place than it has already been.

that’s because in the end this has never been, nor is it currently, about trump.

it’s about the collision course the u.s. has been on, for decades now, with the collective lies it tells itself and which grow unsustainable when sedentary manifest destiny runs out of the easily exploitable and instead faces off, as every empire before it has inevitably faced off, with a/the final frontier of futilely attempting to domesticate the nomadic [and to be clear that doesn’t refer to the arabic]..

and so instead of facing that truth, here we are once again proving the depth of one of the many truths expressed by mencken:

Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.

[and anybody who thinks the immediately preceding statement applies to republicans more than democrats - or democrats more than republicans for that matter - has the long term attention span of a gnat.]
