I took a whole lot more heat when Israel was attacking Gaza and I was passionately arguing for the unpopular position of peace and justice for Palestinians.
All the wingers went after me like a pack of rats. I sure don't remember much support against the mob attack back then. I stood my ground and kept a tone of civility for as long as I could. But it was that experience that taught me a great deal about the nature of this forum, and how civility and rational discourse can only go so far with the truly hate filled.
Same rats now want to defend Bundy and his baby body armor.
