Well? I'll chalk it up to a second east coast post that hit at the same moment.
I lost a whole post and have been blocked from uploading for ten min?
Hey Tad,
the weather has been crap for months,
things that never see the sun, under roofs n' such.
are showing steaks of wetness,
some places, it is dripping off the roof moves.
This on climbs that had stayed dry for 20 yr's!
A lightning strike & fire over the top
Has left the soil burnt, and porous.
Enjoy the foggy coast.

The local seafood diet of lobster, clams, scallops and haddock abides the appetite. :)
Not a clam in sight. But they never are.
Enjoy the vacation, Tad & Mo!

Well Bob is known to embellish things a bit, but Buddy did play the Duluth Armory January 31 (Saturday) 1959.
Wasn't zMan a Jew in those days? Did Buddy wink at him or is Bob just winking in our direction? Only Bruce Langhorne knows for sure.
“This was the biggest teenage music show we’d ever had at the Armory. Kids were there dancing; kids were there in front of the stage just watching. And as everyone knows, we found out later Bob Dylan was there from Hibbing,” the late Lew Latto, local promoter and master of ceremonies for that show, told the News Tribune in 2009

I'll take Bob at his word, since, Michele, the only one I ever met who attended a live Buddy Holly concert tells me that he winked at her too.

His offer's being considered...they've notified him they received it.
I don't know why he wouldn't get it...he's been doing a shitload of free work for Merle, who's in his nineties now.
Tim's serious about selling his trailer and lot in the Rawhide park, so we shall see what comes about shortly, I think.

Still in awe of Hannold's El Cap free solo, hard to believe it happened as soon as it did, and so grateful it went off without a hitch.
The wind has been out of my writing sails of late as we've been preparing for a big trip, details later. My brother in-law and his wife visited one evening last week and while they were here, I read them some of my silly poetry. My brother-in-law, who happens to be a very talented musician, said he liked it and thought he might try his hand at some poetry also.
Little did I know what was in store for me when this satirical tribute arrived via text within a day or two. It had me laughing my ass off...
The Bushman
Legend tells of a man called the Bushman
His story has been passed down through generations
Each time his story is told children shiver
And women shake and quiver
The men all envy his strength and knowledge
Always willing to share his experiences
I myself am lucky to have met such a man
And learn as much as i can at every encounter
His sacrifice and efforts never go unnoticed
If you are fortunate enough to meet him listen carefully
As you life will be forever blessed
With the knowledge, power, and glory of...
The Bushman
