I went off my rocker
got out on the sidewalk
knee is stiffened again
swollen and painful
had to get it moving
it is a grind I'm tellin' ya
all for a single postage stamp
but I bought ten
after stopping in to chat at the bookstore
accepting a bag of hardcovers
ten pounds to carry
plus the camera
sitting in the square to rest
and read and shoot pics
and watch streeties and scrub jays
and watch the wind play havoc
dust clouds in downtown
can you beat that?
Well, I don't actually KNOW the guy...who'd want to?
Thank you for what health I still have
And the roof over my head, dear Lord.
