Exactly Abrams! Now I'm wondering if the carbon credit gift cards I got for Christmas will be any good......

Hmm, you're right. I could add PIOMAS volume using a different right-hand scale. I'll look into doing that.

Also could extend the "extent" squiggles back to 1972, but that requires more explanation.

Answer the question LARRY!

Man, have you ever met a bigger jerk? I'm thinking hard... I have seen them on TV, but never have I seen such a Bazooka in real life. Yes The Chief, you've won the limbo contest in spades, and many times over. Nobody can go as low as you, and you seem to live there. Congrats.

Just back from the beautiful northern California coast where i spent my time beachcombing, bouldering, walking amongst the redwoods, and anything else to avoid fascination with this three ring circus.

The locals i talked to noticed two sea level rises, one in March 1964 and another smaller increment in March 2011. Other than that, nothing in their long lives. As far as environmental refugees; the only ones noticeable are victims of environmental activism in the logging, farming, power generation and now fishing industries. These attacks on peoples livliehoods always start with studies of the kind Larry generates. I wish these science destroyers were forced to live in their victims shoes.

Anyway 2014 is starting with distinct signs of cooling-historic coldspells in North America, Russia, the far east. the ship of fools stuck along with rescuers in the thickening Antarctic ice, historic proportions of global Polar ice, etc., etc. This is on top of the long list of cold, snow, and ice anomalies of 2013. With all this the CAGW industry is spinning tall tales in hyper drive, trying to convince it's waning base of idealogues, crooks, fools and idiots that they can still win this battle against humanity.

It's good to see that The Chief still has all barrels blazing in withering return fire against the forces of farce assembled here on this thread. Good work also to Ron, Sketch, Abrams, Command Error and others. What the hell happened to Ed, is he suffering from buyers remorse after further survey of this crock of shet?

Damn right. Shameful how those scientists and enviro idiots conspired to stop good, hardworking fishermen pulling cod out of the Grand Banks.

Ed, you are aware you're arguing with people who are only armed with Limbaugh talking points, right? They are on the wrong side of the issue and history.

Okay good, proof of life from Ed the maestro. Glad you survived your 60th and despite your advanced age you are still a willing combatant. Now why does the ship of fools have anything to do with climate? Besides the obvious fact that Antartica has ignored the blessed models of CO2 scientology, you guys either made up or highlighted every warm or storm anomaly for all of 2013. It is futility to deny this.

very now and then an Arctic expedition into the ice that isn’t supposed to be there comes face to face with the fact that the polar ice doesn’t seem to be aware of their settled science. But just as the lack of elves never disproves the need for elf environmental impact studies, all the ice in the arctic can’t stop the wannabe elves in their expensive parkas from believing that technology is destroying the world.

The left likes to claim that it’s part of the reality-based community. But the reality that it’s based on exists only in the human imagination. The unreal left lives in an imaginary world of fantasy economics where money is infinite, in a world of fantasy science where cow flatulence is the greatest threat to mankind and in a world of imaginary politics where everything is possible if only they believe it is true.

A sufficiently advanced technology may be indistinguishable from magic, but the left’s ideological eco-magic is no substitute for science.

Lower yourself Ed, force those reluctant fingeres to type in Climate Depot. There you will find Raspopov et al. 2013, that Abrams was quoting from, as well as 70 other papers from 2013 that purportedly study solar amplification effects that control climate more so than a measly 120ppm addition of CO2.

The Chief can't read paragraphs so he makes stuff up and attacks people vociferously for that. You follow his dishonesty model, are you any better at reading? Here's a real paragraph, from one livelihood-oriented paper hubristically titled The Fall and Future of Newfoundland's Cod Fishery. Can you work out what we actually say?

The 1992 collapse of the northern cod undermined a centuries-old way of life in Newfoundland. This ecological change has had broad social consequences, especially the loss of livelihoods for people and places that possess few alternative resources. Using a biology-based model, we explore possible paths to fishery recovery under a range of policy scenarios. Recovery could take decades, even under an absolute fishing ban. Recovery with substantial growth in jobs can be achieved under "precautionary" low-fishing policies. High-fishing policies initially create more jobs, but eventually crash the resource. Interactions between social and biological systems create a policy trap. Developments since the 1992 moratorium show the force of this trap and offer an explanation for why no recovery has yet been seen. Model results highlight the importance of level and time, as specifics that give content to the widely discussed goal of sustainability.

If I may interrupt this fukitmyfaksbeatyourfaks bromance;

That pic Sketch is of steam or rather water vapor from cooling towers.
Think of them as ground level clouds. Benign and harmless to the climate.
Not CO2 which is invisible.
You're all welcome.
