The ATTACKS began from the AGW side. 6 or 7 against one might i add.

sure it wasn't 13.9 k against 24?

“But to tear down a factory or to revolt against a government or to avoid repair of a motorcycle because it is a system is to attack effects rather than causes; and as long as the attack is upon effects only, no change is possible. The true system, the real system, is our present construction of systematic thought itself, rationality itself, and if a factory is torn down but the rationality which produced it is left standing, then that rationality will simply produce another factory. If a revolution destroys a systematic government, but the systematic patterns of thought that produced that government are left intact, then those patterns will repeat themselves in the succeeding government. There’s so much talk about the system. And so little understanding.”

Bruce Kay, that's a great NY Times article, thanks. I visited the Hoover Dam a year ago and it was already way low.

Worst drought in over 1,000 years? Sobering.

And that, I suspect, is how climate change will pan out.

Not any kind of apocalypse but a slow, uncertain drip drip of bad news from one location after another, decade by decade. Each snippet of news means nothing by itself.

If you suspect that all climate change will be "bad news," that shows you've been pretty thoroughly brainwashed.
Sure there will be (and clearly has been) some change--but a little change now and then can be a good thing.

uuhhh are you guys reinventing history here? The ATTACKS began from the AGW side.

Can you back that up Ron, or are you inventing your own history? IIRC Poedtke referred to "bullshit" in his very first post on this thread. He was out to pick fights from the start, and had reality issues too (recall the "huge melt ponds" he said he'd photographed at the South Pole?). But Poedtke was far more coherent back then -- compare his 2010 posts with more recent, you'll see dramatic change. I don't think your posting style, or mine, has changed much over these years even though we've been called some names.

“If Lake Mead goes below elevation 1,000” — 1,000 feet above sea level — “we lose any capacity to pump water to serve the municipal needs of seven in 10 people in the state of Nevada,” said John Entsminger, the senior deputy general manager of the Southern Nevada Water Authority.

Ron, do you hear that, it might come to your town!

But for The Chief, he has a lake he can put his finger in....so no worries there.

As for who is attacking who--aww fergitaboutit.

I can now understand why you no longer work in your field as a Sociologist and have grabbed onto this scam known as The AGW Research Industrial Complex.
Naw, you've made that up too.

I post stuff that's obviously trollery. It's amusing to see which dumbass takes the bait.
You post stuff that is fed to you by denialist blogs then obfuscate, hoping that sounds smart. It doesn't.

Didn't you spend a fair amount of time doing research AGAINST BP Petroleum in the Gulf?
No, I don't do research "AGAINST" anyone. You found that video but don't seem to have watched or understood it.

well i've drawn the line at manipulating personal images, as you're obviously severely undergunned in that dept, among others.

Sure you wanna go there cheez?

Gotta love the way you manipulate the verbiage though.
No, you don't. Far as I can tell you don't read or understand paragraphs, or often even full sentences if they contain much information. What you do instead is grab fragments or just make things up, then hurl accusations about those. Case in point.

It is shown that, over the past 10,000 years (the Holocene),
deep Maunder type Sun Spot minima have been accompanied

by sharp global cooling climatic changes. These minima have
occurred every 2300-2400 years. Present day CO2 climate forcings

are still unmeasurably small and mostly theoretical, will have
no affect moderating the cooling.
Infrastructure preparation for a cooling climate are indicated.

Admit it, we're all thinking "What this page needs is an interesting new graph!" This cycle plot seems to be fairly unique and has developed a minor following over the years; I updated it yesterday through 2013.
