I love this cane. Doug found the root on a hike and we brought it home. He sculpted it. It has some mass, which is lovely for a peaceful little old lady, if I'm somewhere I can't carry anything else. People are always admiring it and asking where I got it.
No crutches, not really using the cane, either. Some treadmill, lots of spinning. The yellow tulips are blooming.

zB, Thank you. That is why humans need each other, in part. For that rich variety of perspectives. And usually, just when I think I have something figured out and nailed down to the Absolute Truth of the Universe—somebody makes an off-hand comment or I read a relevant paragraph, and my Altar of Absolutes is once more dashed upon the rocks of re-examination.
But sometimes, the offered perspective evokes such a sense of wonder for the magnificence and beauty, that I am moved to tears at the revelation. Math. Music. I've been playing Scrabin's Preludes Op. 11 in the studio today. And the Brandenburgs. And Miles David Sketches of Spain. Comfortable stuff.
Anyway, on perspective, Rabbi Kushner said we are all Angels carrying pieces of other's puzzles as others do for us. Malachs*. Angels. :) Not for everyone, but some people. When we meet, we give them their puzzle piece, or they give us ours. Malachs.*
It's been a good day in the clay. :) I hope you win. You have captured the California warmth in flowers. With bushido. :)

After a brief discussion tonight regarding some of the cruder comments attributable the male gender my wife commented, "Guys are so f*#king stupid."
The best reply I could muster was...

The Channeled Scablands are an interesting geologic tale.
Their name sounds like it is someplace in Middle Earth to me.
