^^^^^^^^ GOOD POINT ^^^^^^^^^^^

Trump has not yet become like Hitler. He is still just saying that if he is elected, he will become like Hitler.

But, Trump may not follow through on any of it, including the election.

Here is how Trump Lite, the Brexit movement, is handling their electoral success:

http://www.sfgate.com/news/world/article/UK-Independence-Party-chief-Nigel-Farage-quits-8339783.php

The Brexit leadership is jumping ship. They recognizes that they have opened a HUGE can of worms, they have a situation that is beyond their control, and they recognize that their false promises to voters have angered them, and they realize that they must now flee - posthaste - or be torn limb-from-limb.

First it was former London Mayor Boris Johnson who quit the political revolution. He was to be the next Prime Minister. Then, he said he wouldn't run for PM.

Now, its Nigel Farage (rhymes with mirage), the leader of the UKIP party (which headed up the Brexit campaign), who is scurrying like the wharf rat he is, to abandon the sinking Brexit ship and get as far away as possible.

The Brexit debacle has many lessons for astute American voters.

For one, obviously hollow and false promises made to voters, who believed them anyway, can have a disastrous effect.

False leaders, drooling ludicrous campaign lies about the future, will rapidly vanish into the mists when they are revealed to be vaporous charlatans.

Bombastic, nationalistic and bigoted campaign rhetoric is empty and worthless in the real world.

Voters who make rash decisions come to regret those decisions, which may not be reversible.

There will be considerable negative effects whenever a knee-jerk "solution" to a complex problem is attempted.

Cancelling an agreement, such as membership in the EU, typically cancels all aspects, beneficial and obligatory, of that agreement. You can't cancel an agreement, and then expect to continue to obtain the benefits thereof, while shirking the attendant obligations and responsibilities.

Cancellation of large-scale free-trade agreements results in worldwide economic chaos and disruption.

More specifically, astute American voters should recognize that:

Trump's support for Britain to leave the EU clearly shows that he is clueless about foreign policy, trade agreements and other important topics. The Brexit vote is a worldwide economic disaster, right now, and the actual process of Britain's secession from the EU has not even commenced. Trump continues to say that the decision to leave the EU is a "great victory". The full economic disaster of the Brexit vote has not even begun.

Trump has shown a propensity to cut-and-run when things begin to turn for the worse. He has abandoned numerous building projects, leaving buyers and investors divested of their funds. Trump claims to stick with a project, no matter what. But, his track record with building projects, real estate deals, his airline, his casinos in Atlantic City. his marriages, and his various failed consumer products tell a different story.

Trump says he never settles lawsuits out of court, but that is an easily debunked lie, too. He has settled the vast majority of lawsuits against himself out of court, and usually under confidential terms to avoid public scrutiny of how he conducts business.

Brexit leaders fleeing for the door presages a similar trajectory for Trump, as soon as he becomes capable of assimilating reality and recognizes the folly of his proposed schemes.

Brexit is TRUMP LITE

I would imagine that there is already a SOP for how to handle illegal orders from the top. The military does some dumb azz sh#t sometimes, but the best and brightest leaders manage to float to the top. I can not even imagine there are many flag officers that would vote for Trump, much less carry out an illegal agenda of his. Think General Haig. Okay, maybe we should be worried

When President Ronald Reagan was shot on March 30, 1981, chaos ensued behind the scenes at the White House. With no real protocol in place for such a situation, everyone involved had to improvise and hope that everything would turn out right. In an attempt to keep everyone calm, Al Haig, Reagan’s Secretary of State, committed a PR faux pas — and showed a glaring lapse in basic knowledge of the Constitution — by telling the press that he was in charge while the President was in surgery. Unaware of just how serious the President’s condition really was, key officials began to do their best damage control and keep not only the reporters calm but the country and the world at large.

You refuse to follow them, and then you pray that SCOTUS, or the winner of the civil war agrees with you.

In reality, there's a lot less Ed Snowdens out there than we'd hope.

^^^^^^^^^^^ No.

I don't have Netflix, and I don't know what Aquarius is.

I rarely watch TV these days.

I saw the Manson Family trial on TV when I was little. The way Manson was able to brainwash those people has always struck me as very odd, and a very dangerous talent for a nefarious person. His followers were otherwise normal people who would become absolutely stupid, and would soak up Manson's predictive nonsense about a race war that his followers would ignite by killing a movie director's wife and their unborn baby.

Trump is also an IQ-deflating svengali, even if "charismatic" isn't the correct word for how he gains control over his Manchurian followers. Trump called for violence at his rallies, and his followers complied. Trump called for the marginalization of Muslims, and his followers complied. If Trump were to call for the all Muslims to be attacked, his followers would comply. If Trump said that all Mexicans are rapists, and should be killed, his followers would comply.

Trump is just like Manson. He has gained the adoration of a mindless group that worships him, and they will do whatever Trump tells them to do.

The only difference between Manson and Trump is that Trump was born to money, and that money has kept him out of prison.

Manson had no money, so he is now in a cage somewhere out in the California desert.

I am just joking^^^I agree that Trump certainly knows how to manipulate people into believing that he is a god like man. I find it interesting that a lot people think he is a complete idiot, they choose to ignore the fact he created a successful tv show. I would go to say that was his "apprenticeship" with learning how to control people through the tv.

With all that known, I do not believe Hillary is any different. She certainly has a very different approach. I believe that her primary objective is to control the masses emotions and good will for her(and investment partners) benefit. Just like trump.

Clearly I am cynical towards American politics

I don't think Trump is an idiot, except in the sense that he says idiotic things.

He is actually quite dangerous because he is NOT an idiot, but a very intelligent and malevolent person.

Trump can be instructively compared to Ted Kaczynski, the serial killer known as the Unabomber. Kaczynski was a child genius prodigy, entered Harvard at 16, received his PhD in mathematics at 25, and became the youngest professor – of any kind – to be hired by the University of California. A few years later, Kaczynski withdrew to his now-famous shack in the Montana backwoods, and embarked on his decades-long campaign of mailing homemade bombs to people he didn’t know. Later, he coerced newspapers into printing his deranged manifesto about a dystopian future for America.

What made Kaczynski so dangerous was his high intelligence. He was able to anticipate, and design around, the FBI’s tactics for gathering evidence and tracking down the bomb maker. It was only Kaczynski’s irrepressible ego, and the notorious manifesto, that finally led the G-Men to arrest him at his remote shack.

A bomber of lesser intellect (e.g. Timothy McVeigh) leaves useful evidence, and is rapidly identified, captured, and convicted. Kaczynski’s super-brain allowed him to evade capture for almost two decades, all the while killing three people and seriously injuring 23 others. If Kaczynski hadn’t sent his manifesto to the newspapers, the Unabomber would have taken his place alongside Jack the Ripper and the Zodiac in the dark pantheon of serial killers who were never caught.

Like Kaczynski, Trump is (in his own words) “Really, really, really smart”. And, like Kaczynski, Trump has a twisted and dysfunctional vision for the future of America. The difference is that Trump isn’t just predicting social calamity and misery for millions – Trump is taking direct, purposeful action to seize control, and then cause social calamity and misery for millions. In his campaign speeches, Trump promises that, if elected, he will make his demented nightmares come true for everyone, forcing his demonic policies upon the United States and the rest of the world, regardless of what people want, or what is best for society and for the human race.

Trump will extrapolate his own egotistical, self-conferred sense of entitled exceptionalism to the United States, and, like an overgrown playground bully, will use any and all means - including military action - to enforce his will upon any nation that disagrees with him. His business methodology will be adapted to foreign policy, with scamming, defrauding, plundering and cannibalizing other nations being Trump’s top priority. Trump’s has promised all this, and he hasn’t even gotten his boner on.

i dunno, the recent posts to this thread are taking me down a strange wormhole... but here goes nothin'...

saying trump is like hitler, is like manson, or is like kascynski, is an incredibly fUcked up disservice to any one of those three.

trump is, at this point, nothing like hitler, nothing like manson, and nothing like kascynski. and if you disagree, please go read some history and tell me how trump should in any way shape or non-superficial form be compared with what makes those three uniquely diabolical/evil/disturbed...

all three had cohesive [and fUcked up, obviously] visions, and all three of them were clear about those visions, prior to taking action towards those visions.

what was trump's vision prior to entering this election?

if you think there was one you're a fool and have ignored his history, because he's never had one. he just throws 20 things at an audience and whatever sticks, he goes with. if a person is going to be afraid, they should by rights be afraid of some of the american people.

but comparing trump to any of those three?

give me a fUckin' break.

if it can be said, at this point, with a straight face that trump is like hitler, manson and kascynski than it can be said with an equally straight face that hillary is like stalin, pinochet and marcos.

and anybody who believes any of that last sentence needs to give their head a fUckin' shake...

it's this type of rhetoric that keeps some of you cats from seeing the real problem...

and it ain't the fUckin' leaders.

I actually don't think trump is particularly anti Semitic.

But the "it's a sheriff's star not a Star of David" excuse is horse sh#t.

I do think his campaign will pander to the white nationalist crowd to get votes. It also shows that in spite of his promise to hire the best people, he will actually bottom feed to find people who will play dirty.
