Answering my question of how old the Earth is, The Chief responded:
4.6 Billion Years ... all of it. Not just the last 140 something years as you do.
140 years is something he pulled out of his ass. I mainly work rocks Permian and older. I pretty much live my life in the Paleozoic.
What makes you think that the Earth is 4.6 billion years old?

I've sat thru first hand accounts from a member of his Secret Service detail.
The guy was a complete phony that treated those around him like personal servants and Roselin was even worse.
Pretty much universally reviled by those that had to put up with him on a daily basis.

My Dad, who was shipped out to the South Pacific, you know The Chief, where they did some actual fighting rather than blather about their peace time service on the Internets, and the other vets got screwed out of promised medical benefits by Reagan, right when they reached the age when they needed those benefits.
Of course, he took time out of screwing over our WWII vets to honor f*#king SS criminals at Bitburg.

It's actually not as easy as that, because if you'll note, the solutions we now have in place were put there by smart, knowledgeable people.
Gone are the days when ol' what's-his-name would proudly claim "Greed is good," but it seems that very smart people with that outlook have been making a lot of the decisions around here.

The global sea ice area on 12/31/13 was the highest ever recorded, for December 31st.
It's interesting what a simple out-of-context statistic can say or not say.
Sketch, let's look at this and see if it's actually a positive or negative indication of AWG.
As far as sea ice goes, this year we have a record in the maximum area. But, the area that the ice now covers, what was there a decade ago? Is the sea ice now covering new area that was ice-free before, cause that would really indicate an extension of the cold.
So Sketch, what do you say in response, does your statistic point the way you thought it did when you posted it?

One last thing - I made two statements. Both are true. Why do you say they are out of context?
haha, I thought that were more or less the definition of taking something out of context.
I don't think that you answered last time you made a similar point (the two statement). Why do you think that those statements are important? Do those two facts imply anything (like for example a change in the trend)? Do the facts really make any difference?
