You are supposed to be answering the questions not asking Ed.
Interesting method of discussion. He should look at an hour long presentation and answer every point made in the presentation. You would of course ignore his answer as usual.
Why don't you read and analyze the IPCC report and show why it is wrong?

Update on the public-distrust-of-science discussion just upthread: a Pew Research Center poll just released today finds that only 43% of Republicans (down from 54% in 2009) believe that humans evolved over time.
Although our questions are somewhat different, the 43% Pew result looks pretty similar to the 45% that I posted upthread (but broken down a step farther, with Tea Party supporters down to 35%).
Views of science have indeed become politicized, but as well shown on this thread the politicizing has not been symmetrical.

If you mean who does say they trust scientists, surveys suggest those people are more likely to be college graduates, under 65, and politically independent or Democrats. They are less likely to watch Fox news.

Then just flip my statement around, it's really the same analysis. Those who say they distrust science are more likely to be non-college grads, over 65, or Republican -- especially tea party.

Why should Ed bother answering the likes of old Rick Sumner. The short simple answer is you shouldn't, certainly with no more eagerness than I to answer your attempt at humiliation. If you remember professor, originally I posted a link to a discussion aimed towards the wider whole of this group, not specific to you at all. You answer with a question, I answer with a return question based on what I thought was an important insight of the presentation. I asked for your words since your own are more reflective of your beliefs than someone elses presented in one of a multitude of papers. If this is beneath you , you need not answer. Civility, sometimes you can out do your friend The Chief.
