there is a thing in my neighborhood, a jock with a big place who puts out a spread for the play offs, Baseball, football even hockey 'cause he likes the guy from way down the street who puts an ice rink in his back yard when we get the early winters, which has not happend the last two years.

This month its Basketball. Watching on the on a near theater size screen with a horde of azz hats who thought they bought a Maserati and won't admit it's really a 1960's Russian Trabant that Russian car that looks clownish and made of wood 'n paper .http://content.time.com/time/specials/2007/article/0,28804,1658545_1657867_1657782,00.html

Watching giants prowl up and down the hardwood, past chairs of screaming fans, court side, it is an all American game.

Anyway - A big party ! I'm always welcome at. They lay out quite a welcome mat,
the foods, some home-5 minutes-made, others, delivered,

I bring a 6 layer Tex-mex dip,
No sour cream or western states favorite - Chillio's
it's always chock-full of good stuff, Gauqe, corn salsa, taco-beef . . . In the middle. cheese on top.

So this has been a get drunk Cavaliers & Rockets cheers are those the hardwood floor teams
I should be rooting for ?

LeBron and company

and I liked the back-story of Huston and OKC...
I've not followed much b-ball, but these two games were a blast

I'm a light wait and staggered home after a 3rd beer just as the place broke out in celebration
I'd drunk my fill . . . .

Oh weight, to so besmirch pictures such as the ones of above seems inappropriate ?

May-be, I'll move it

(still no boys to be seen or heard.)

I found a picture of me clinging to the strut supports under the stage []
I'm climbing upside down, one hand grasping with a very technical reverse grip, torque ing my elbow, with a solid look of concentration, about to drop the feet & swing to a heel-hook.
goading the other ten year olds to try the "monkey bars" messing around, as I recall Joshua slipped and was hung by his ankle caught in the joint of the scaffolding, I remember that everyone was to spent, but I was in big trouble.

It's been a hard two days. I've slept more than I can imagine. But its' one way to find relief from the difficulties breathing.

I'm having a "flare up," part of the deal with COPD. For whatever reason, the phlegm keeps coming, blocking airways, causing me to waken and gasp and want to cough it all out, but it doesn't come out and I find myself racked with coughing until it does.

It's wearisome, tiring, runs me ragged, and makes me want to crawl back into bed after having gotten the breathing back to a "normal state."

I'm also eating nothing but oatmeal, apples, and a bit of cheese and water.

The feet and legs aren't swollen now and my weight's gone down to @170. The cardio/pharmacist is sending a BP machine. I feel good at this moment, but need to just keep still and relax or the coughing will commence.

Just wanted you to know, gang. Nothing to be done but what I'm doing. If it continues through tomorrow I'll have to check into the ER, maybe.

Sir Mouse,
Thinking of you, sending lots of good thoughts and wondering if mullein would help you, but then I think you already tried it.
Hoping there is some relief for the COPD, and that you find breathing easier by morning.
Sending lots of fairy dust.

Best,

hey there say, mouse... get well soon...

say, go back, and think:

did something trigger the coughs, MORE than usual?

sometimes there is a trigger that makes certain things worse,
even though you may still have the condition...

maybe there is something else to eat, or drink, that might help
in some way???

hang in there, we are all praying...

edit:
could it be a spring pollen thing, making stuff worse...
or rain, barometric pressures? affecting your already hard situation???

Thanks for the sympathy and advice.
It's appreciated here by all the mice.

I was thinking of how this started just now, neebee. The trigger seems to have been the high blood pressure, because it's subsided. However, this is conjecture, not diagnosis. I am purposely eating what I do,
#1-It's the "right thing to do."
#2-I'm on the ropes again for money.
#3-I couldn't go for food as I'm too sick.

But today is a new day. I feel stronger now, having rested so much. There is no hunger...I'm good for at least another day. You know I'm a stubborn old coot and I am used to this, somewhat, so I'm not worried now, after three days of this stuff, that it's an embolism to the lung or to the heart...I'd likely be dead by now or have called an ambulance. I may be wrong, but I haven't a CT scanner to check!

I think the worst is over now. At least I pray it is. Thinking seems to get me in trouble...

There is So much more green than you have had in years

I'm with neeb's,; I think the pollen count combined with poor middle earth air quality,

(construction dust )

has you laid low.

Here it is very bad as well.

Peace & quality of life is hard to occupy when racked by a phlegm induced coughing.
I know, too.

Blessin's are from the tribe to you,
(smiles for that rare lurker post, ,B^> Ive said before I hope everyone reads Nahooo I think everybody should)

Edit:
here, we live on "Zyrtec" -actually the generic, an over the counter, that I split each pill
in half I take 1/2 morning and at night, sometimes more often but in haves.

Very beautiful ones, DMT. Thx. And thx to Nahoo, too.

Gnome, I might be the victim of springtime allergies, but have FLONASE. I've not used it all these years, see. A few weeks back, visiting Doc Love following my hospitalization with pneumonia, he said, "Oh, I give that to most everyone." So I got it. First couple of times I used it, I was so thankful. It works beautifully. It's helped immeasurably here with this crap over the weekend.

As far as the dust goes, I don't know. Seems the sandblasting's over.

Earlier this morning, I tried to fire up the heater/a-c unit to heat the place and it won't kick on. Neither the RC unit nor the button on the chassis will make it go. I've got down. I'm warm enough.

Hark, there's a Sunrise to the East

I heard the song of spring this morn
As dawn came to my sleeping mind
And misty morning rainclouds
Quartered from the southwest
And dreamscapes started to unwind

The coffee pot played the usual tune
As blueberries smiled before breakfast
The world remained undetected
The biggest presence in the room
Moving through future into past

And I took off down the runway
And over trees and fields of green
Flying high over the cloud tops
Setting sights on the eastern sunrise
And to horizons yet unseen

Putt, putt, and the engine cuts out
And I gently turned to glide
Landing back at the airfield
I taxied up to the hangar
And back to a warm fire home inside

Spring is sprung but still waiting
On the blossom or starting to fruit
And we who stand or lie resting
Will think of our plans or our younger days
Or the hopes we all have for the youth

But every year when the spring comes
My heart rallies and wants to sing
As I daydream of climbing or flying
Or winding mountainous road trips
And other adventurous things

And now I need to take that odd half allergy pill?

I'm trolley allergic to shovel zsod, - my knee -

last year this time of year I scored 21 arburary bushes. You would think by now I would have learned to stay out of the bushes
But no and in getting them loaded and set I tore a patella tendon. .
Now there is some gargle base!

Embrace the difference. . .

Bloomin' heaven, Dingus. I'll have to check out the Portrait Mode one of these days, haven't yet.

I'm really not much more better. I may have to visit the ER.

Hate causing such a fuss, riding an ambulance instead of a bus.
But I haven't the strength to walk to the bus, so I'll do what I have to, do what I must.

Going to bring Perchance to Dream by Robert Parker to the hospital and the Cussler I'm reading now.

See ya all later. I'm taking my phone.

I hope you are feeling much better very soon, and that the hospital food is acceptable, too. I heard it has improved a lot in the last few years.
