Mr. Nye's experiment illuminates the containers of gas with a light closer to the temperature of the Earth than the temperature of the Sun, and the increased temperatures are due to the direct absorption of the light, presumably, by the CO₂. The cartoon of the balls is also misleading, as some of the reradiated light from the atmosphere goes off into space, some of it goes back to the Earth's surface. All the balls in that cartoon that are emitted by the Earth are redirected back to the Earth. The concept of energy balance and thermodynamic equilibrium is missing.

I couldn't find were the "millions in dark money" was shown to support denial efforts.
The reason you didn't find it is because you didn't read the study, Institutionalizing delay: foundation funding and the creation of U.S. climate change counter-movement organizations. The news article I posted has a link to it at the top of the second paragraph.
But not to worry, I wouldn't have seen it either if I didn't read the study.

Pause smauze- lets call ths much ballyhooed (Chiloes favorite phrase) trend in all the major purveyors of global temp data what it really is, the start of a multi decade cooling as a result of a quasi periodic quiet sun cycle. The scientific community that is still doing real science as opposed desperate propogandizing are well aware of this. Too bad Ed doesn't have any a real scientists to argue this with. I guess they just don't consider him seriously. Instead he's engaged in school yard bullying in back water blog spots with the likes of characters like screaming Mimi. All pretty pathetic. The climate has changed and the utopian dream is slipping away.
