Just remember -- some Muslims died defending your right to post hateful and ignorant things about them. He was 20.

In those cases, then we have some part in encouraging the craziness in that region.

Ah, sorry John M. But so many of them folks are so entrenched in their centuries old religious traditions and have been at this killing one another over some of the stooooopidist shet known to mankind far too long to be encouraged any more than they already are.

Seriously.

It's interesting that in the 1950s Simone DeBovoir was sunning herself on the beach when an Arab wandered by. He raped her, no big deal to him, then moved on. Turned out, it was kind of a cultural thing. Still common well over 60 years later.

Not the only cultural thing with De Beauvoir.

The actual story she writes is that she was " nearly raped " by a Tunisian on a lone expedition to the Roman ruins of Dougga. She also champions ( along with Picasso and others) the cause of an Algerian woman, Djamila Boupacha, who was wrongfully arrested, tortured and raped with a bottle by French interrogators during the Algerian war for independence.

It's also interesting to note that De Beauvoir was fired from her teaching position in 1943 for "behavior leading to the debauchery of a minor", (Andre Breton one of her students) in 1939. Apparently his parents objected to stat rape.

She also shared lovers, both male and female ( some minors), including Bianca Lamblin, with Sartre.

In 1977 she wrote and signed a petition (as did Sartre) demanding the legalization of pedophelia when 3 Marxists faced long prison terms for seducing children and taking pictures of it. The petition was published in LeMonde.

**‘Terrorist, go back to your country,’ attacker yelled in assault of Sikh man
**
“Terrorist!” “Bin Laden!” “Go back to your country!” came the shouts from the other car.

Inderjit Singh Mukker, a father of two on his way to the grocery store in his Chicago suburb, pulled over when the vehicle behind kept tailgating him, according to the Sikh Coalition. The 53-year-old Sikh man, who wears a beard and turban, expected that the person in the other car would just drive past.

Instead, the Coalition says, the other driver got out and stormed toward him, reaching into Mukker’s car and repeatedly punching him in the face. Mukker lost consciousness and had to be taken to the hospital, where he received treatment for a fractured cheekbone, bruising and blood loss and six stitches for the lacerations on his face.

Police in Darien, Ill., 30 miles southwest of downtown Chicago, said that the incident Tuesday night is being investigated as a hate crime, according to NBC. The alleged assailant is in police custody.

Mukker, who was released from the hospital Wednesday, gave a statement to the Sikh Coalition, the nonprofit advocacy group providing his legal representation.

“No American should be afraid to practice their faith in our country,” he said. “I’m thankful for the swift response of authorities to apprehend the individual, but without this being fully investigated as a hate crime, we risk ignoring the horrific pattern of intolerance, abuse and violence that Sikhs and other minority communities in this country continue to face.”

According to Simran Jeet Singh, a senior religion fellow at the Coalition working on Mukker’s case, Sikh Americans have been increasingly victimized in hate crimes in the years since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States.

“For Sikh Americans, the unique markers of religious identity — the turban, the beard — these markers are associated with the markers of terrorism,” he said.

In other words, “People see a Sikh and construe them as the enemy.”

On Sept. 15, 2001, four days after 9/11, Balbir Singh Sodhi was shot and killed outside his gas station in Arizona. The gunman mistook the 49-year-old Sikh, an immigrant from India, for an Arab, and said he killed him in retaliation for the attacks. The attacker was found guilty of murder and sentenced to death.

In the following month, the Sikh Coalition recorded at least 300 cases of violence and discrimination against Sikhs in the U.S. The next 14 years have seen hundreds more. In 2009, the Coalition found that 9 percent of Sikh adults in New York have been physically assaulted for their religion — usually by people, who in addition to their violent vigilantism, apparently remain unaware of the distinction between Sikhism and Islam. “Osama bin Laden” and “terrorist” are common slurs.

This summer, the Sikh temple in Wisconsin where six people were fatally shot by a white supremacist in 2012 decided to lock its doors. The community was shaken by the deadly shooting at a historic black church in Charleston in June, and felt it was no longer safe to stay open to anyone. Now, those who arrive for daily services have to ring a buzzer to be allowed inside.

“It used to be in the Sikh religion, all doors stayed open,” Balhair S. Dulai, vice president of the temple, told the Washington Post. “But what happened here, and what happened in South Carolina — these things could happen anywhere. No one is immune.”

ah, Jim!

I'd like to teach the world to sing is a very unique song. It is the only one that originated as a jingle, and ended up as a top-rated song

"In 2007, Campaign magazine called it "one of the best-loved and most influential ads in TV history".[9] It served as a milestone—the first instance of the recording industry's involvement with advertising.[10]

Marketing analysts have noted Coca-Cola's strategy of marrying the idea of happiness and universal love of the product illustrated by the song.[11][12]

The commercial has continued receiving accolades in more recent times. In 2000, Channel 4 and The Sunday Times ranked the song 16th in the 100 Greatest TV Ads,[13] whilst ITV ranked the advertisement 10th in their list of the greatest advertisements of all time by in 2005.[14]"

The Hillside Singers' version reached #13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #5 on Billboard's Easy Listening chart.

The New Seekers later found time to record the song[2] and sold 96,000 copies of their record in one day, eventually selling 12 million total.

The recording shot lead singer Eve Graham and the other members of The New Seekers to super-stardom.[16] "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)" climbed to UK #1 and US #7 in 1971 and 1972.

Well Chief, Jefferson was a complex man who preached universal liberty while owning slaves.

He also wrote this:

"Shall we refuse the unhappy fugitives from distress that hospitality which the savages of the wilderness extended to our fathers arriving in this land? Shall oppressed humanity find no asylum on this globe? The Constitution, indeed, has wisely provided that, for admission to certain offices of important trust, a residence shall be required sufficient to develop character and design. But might not the general character and capabilities of a citizen be safely communicated to every one manifesting a bona fide purpose of embarking his life and fortunes permanently with us?"

Regarding the "Sweden rape increases," according to this webpage, http://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/stats/Crime/Rape-rate , in 2010, Sweden was #6 in all reported countries for their # of rapes per 100,000

Now of course, the data set advises that it does not include cases which haven't been reported. But ask just about ANY woman here in the US if she knows at least one woman who has been raped and not reported it to the police. I will bet almost all will tell you they do. So, please don't attempt to diminish my words or patronize me by saying the women in Middle East don't report. I am NOT suggesting the rape culture on the ME is acceptable, so don't try to lob THAT bullshit defense either. But we know damned well that women the world over don't report.

Sweden ranked first for rape rate amongst European Union in 2010
. It's late 2015 now, and their rapes are "skyrocketing" since the increase of refugees? According to http://syrianrefugees.eu/?page_id=163 , Sweden began offering permanent residence to Syrian refugees in 2014....

Statistics are not analyzed in real time. There is usually a lag time of at least a few years. Claims that "rapes are skyrocketing" are more likely propaganda and not actually based on facts.

Here's the thing.... Accepting the media "we need news story" pablum - take the damned time to at least attempt to verify the actual information available.

Thanks Lornezo.

So discount it happigrl2. Last report I saw said that Sweden is #2 in the world for rape, right behind South Afrika. Regardless, cross cultural stats on this are all but meaningless. Just look at Sweden and leave SA out of it. Looks no bueno to me. It's complicated by the fact that once the spotlight hit Muslims as rapists, the liberal Swedish gov. quit recording them as a statistic. If we check in with them a few years from now, I highly suspect that they will be singing a different tune. Here's the overall chart of all rapes. Which may not have anything to do with Muslims. (not)

and since you brought up 2010. Lets see that year in a chart shall we?

Anyway, how about the Seattle artist Molly Norris? Yes, still in hiding. 5 years later. She doesn't get "due process". Nor does she even get a decent supertopo style argument on the deal. I guess it's OK with some of you folks if we lose a few here and there.
http://www.komonews.com/news/local/Local-artist-remains-in-hiding-after-Islamic-cartoon-controversy--288120561.html

buh by Molly:

"Molly Norris has been in hiding since 2010, when she created a cartoon depicting the Prophet Muhammad, which is forbidden in the Koran. Norris launched "Draw Muhammad Day" as a call to professional and amateur artists to sketch the Islamic Prophet. Although her depictions were never published, she included several on her invitation. Days later, U.S. born Muslim cleric Anwar Al-Awlaki issued a religious edict on Norris' life. The FBI advised Morris to go underground."She had to completely change her identity, disappear from her work," said Larry Kelley, a writer and founder of the Free Molly Norris Foundation, which raises money and awareness. "Molly Norris is the first journalist, American journalist, forced into hiding by radical Islam inside the United States." "

Thought crime. Coming to a location near you next. Maybe "She had it coming" ? (not) She can move in with Kurt Westergaard, Lars Vilks, Carsten Juste & Flemming Rose if they haven't been killed yet. These fatwas for thought crime are pretty much irreversible and come from both Sunni and Shia. Ask Salmon Rushdie.

Yes, not all Muslims are rapists. Most are not, in fact.

Yes, not all Muslims call Fatwas. Most do not, in fact.

Yet here we are..........

The Before picture:

The "after" shot for having pissed off some Muslims as he simply drew that on a wall and it offended their region.

Probably had it coming?

"French street artist Combo was physically assaulted over his latest art work. It was very offensive and local Muslims demanded he take it down.

Four Muslims in Porte Dorée (the Golden door), a ghetto east of Paris, beat artist Combo after he refused to take down his Coexist street art. Combo suffered a dislocated shoulder, bruises and a black eye.
Artnet reported, via Jihad Watch:

It seems like something one would be hard pressed to disagree with: the word “coexist,” written on a wall using a Muslim crescent as the letter “C,” a Star of David as the letter “X,” and a Christian cross as a “T.”

But in Paris, this particular iteration of the popular inscription—here, created by the street artist Combo, who also pasted a life-size photo of himself next to it—didn’t go down well with everybody. Le Monde reports that four young people asked the artist to remove it last weekend, and beat him up severely when he refused to do so.

Combo ended up with a dislocated shoulder and many bruises.

The attack is characteristic of the inter-religious tensions that plague France and have been exacerbated by the Charlie Hebdo tragedy (see 12 Killed at Magazine Previously Attacked for Satirical Cartoons). Combo declined to discuss the identity of his assailants. “It would only add fuel to the fire,” he told the French newspaper."

And after extensive study and testimony by experts like the National security director and multiple other experts such as the FBI fellas noted above, what did the "fraidycat cowards" determine?

Recommedations

1. Immediate action must be taken to temporarily suspend the admission of Syrian refugees into the United States until the nation’s leading intelligence and law enforcement agencies can certify the refugee screening process is adequate to detect individuals with terrorist ties.

Are they all afraid of some 3 year old orphans? They must be cowards.

While Barack Obama dithers, the hacktivist group Anonymous has taken the fight to ISIS in their own unique way, by shutting down 5000 of their social media accounts, and even publishing a ‘how to’ guide on hacking the terrorists.

But they’ve also become creative in their hack attacks by spamming verified ISIS tweets with rick rolls, that now-classic internet trick that debuted back in 2007. The Anonymous group #OpParis sent out this tweet:
