I keep telling myself the reason there is any life on earth at all comes from nature's willingness to have tremendous diversity and even people with an eye in the middle of their forehead - if that presents an advantage.

I keep telling myself............

No way we'll make it. Just waaaay too much work. If we went, we'd end up having only Saturday there...and that is pretty hard to justify time and money-wise.

I know you will all have fun - I look forward to the photos.

crimp, would it be interesting to the rest of us if you told us a bout all this work you keep refering to? We're all ears, out here.

Well... some of it is teaching two courses (one grad, one undergrad) - both new preps! This is the one that is tied to a schedule that makes travel hard now. I can't blow off a graduate course and the way the undergrad is set up, I can't really blow it off either.

The other work is consulting. It's great fun, but really time consuming and has crushing deadlines.

Thanks for asking. :)

Crimp - didn't realize you'd already established a gig out there. Should have figured. You can take the girl out of the Midwest, but you can't...

ALL I do is "loud behavior & music, illicit substances & excessive drinking".
Hey, it's SOMETHING.

Keep the faith, baby.
I don't grease no cogs. I am sand in those cogs. Sorry.
Hope it's fun, all the same.
(actually, Tribal folks know that this is not EXACTLY true, I like the tribe. Organizations, not so much).
Peace out.

Thanks Skully, I know it will happen but feel really unprepared. Didn't even get a french press for coffee or the propane attachment for a large bottle for my stove yet. At least Yerian showed me how to eat well without cooking alot.

Well, after a deep breath....Captain....yeah, all I need are basics ....food, shelter, and clothes. Oh yeah, and a bocci ball game set. Ok, I'm now relaxed and chillin'. :D

PS, Crimpie cake flavour is everything delicious.

Mighty , Mighty hiker!!!!!!!!!!

Please don't take my non authoritarian views against Anders.

Heck I really don't think it's gonna be in the cards for me. I sure have been lucky enough to be living like a king!. I'm pretty thankful that somehow I've survived in my construction business in this day and age, and the recession provided days off have been many this year. I always knock on my head instead of wood. There is good that came out of this for me: many more days climbing this year. I am not 100% out of coming to the faclift, I do have a place in my heart for all of you people.

edit: Anders I somehow really resemble that first pic of yours..especially while in the park.

Tim, the FaceLift wouldn't be the same without you. As Jeff says, be there or be slandered. We could even go climbing or cleaning or something - I always get those darn "cl" action verbs confused.
