Never met, always wanted to. I'd be honored to shake your hand, Lynn - if you'll promise not to crush mine!

Me and Lynn had some good times in the late 70s
I knew her when she was about 14
and climbed a bunch with her, her brother, and sister and her husband out at Josh
They were all super great folks
I would also see Lynn at my high school once in awhile, she was 2 years behind me, Canyon High in Anaheim Hills.
Of course we all knew that she was a gifted climber, the years of gymnastics in her younger years was a perfect pre-climbing fitness program.
I was there when she did the LHMBP. We all tried it before over the years and couldn't hang in there to top out.
but one day we had a great posse of Lynn, M&M, Largo and who knows else. she went up on it and hung on for about a half an hour on the thing, working that last section that we all gave up on. She worked it and worked it until she finally pulled it off.
That's why we named it the Lynn Hill Memorial Boulder problem (LHMBP)
she deserved her own problem.
We did Mt. Watkins one summer, slept in the same sleeping bag
as Elaine from Seinfeld would say
"we slept head to toe, so it's safe"
and as Jerry notes "but the middle is still at the same spot"
Is she here on ST?
maybe I should check?

Reading around in Lynn's book the other day, I may have come upon the single most poignant climbing question ever asked. When Lynn arrived at the belay beyond the Great Roof, Mari asked her, "Think it'll go free?".
