Wow, thank you Steve for bringing this wonderful work back on the radar!
I just have fallen in love with these photos. There is so much storytelling in these faces. Even if one has no clue about climbing, each image speaks volumes. Highly evocative!
I really appreciate your talents, but also appreciate the great amount of effort and hard work that goes into creating each one. We are all the better for it.
When the book becomes available, I will certainly purchase a copy.
I found Jim's Tumblr page as well:
http://jimherrington.tumblr.com/
He had a broad body of excellent work in many areas. Especially like the musician photos. There is a great one of Keith Richards and the late, great Levon Helm on the second page (currently).
Thanks for sharing Jim... you've brought some sunshine into an otherwise cloudy day.
Cheers,
Eric

What a great bump. Glad I didn't miss this.
My minor contribution, sadly no where near Herrington's quality.
Hide the women the man himself is in town!

Really cool pictures of so many that we admire. I've always been proud of how climbers have held the climbers before them with great respect. How about one of Kamps.

Wow!
So many stories, so little time.
If photos could speak, they would not make rhyme.
Rhyme is a means for enhancing memory, and so are photos.
But just a single, well-crafted photo is often the memory itself.
You do the best that you can over a lifetime of laboring over your favorite activity
and some person with a camera is almost sure to come around.
Thanks for the imagery, Jim
