I must be feeling a little better, and what a pity that is, since I'm wasting time in, of all things, a GUN tread started by LEB.
But I could not resist these tasty morsels:

I ask my gun nut two time Bush supporter pals about this all the time, and they are readily able to ignore the fact that Bush basically said," To hell with your guns, if I decide (for whatever reason, don;t need evidence or witnesses, just my 'gut feeling' that you are an enemy combatant, then it's off to guantanamo with you, forever if I wish it so. We'll see how much good your puny assault rifles do when 20 FBI guys jump on your sorry little butt and throw a bag over your head and render you."

"there's this thing called the printed word"-- LOL, except that SOME people in particular NEVER can be bothered to read the printed words that might disturb their precious gut feelings.
