When I was in highschool I took scientology's personality test and they fleeced me out of 20 bucks for a crappy book.
I'm 46 now and I still get mail from them.

It dawned on me a few weeks ago that a friend of mine trying to get me to listen to "motivational" tapes many years ago in college was probably pitching scientology.

it sounds like you have made that evaluation: Will it do anything for me?
What is right with Scientology? You have suggested, "Good for them", to those that find something right with it. Let's say that what is good TO them is they can manipulate people using Scientology. Do you still have a feeling and wish such folks that manipulate in this way a pleasant approval like, "Good for them"?

About 20 years ago, I got a bizarre call from an outfit that wanted to upgrade the lighting in their LA book distribution warehouse.
There were a couple of seriously weird dudes running the site.
I quoted a quite intentionally extravagant price.
The "You will never get paid by this bunch" antenna were on overload.

dirty manipulating bastards, using the guise of their "religion" to feast upon weak willed people. i happen to know a person who was manipulated into giving basically every cent they had saved to these people. coincidentally, she is not a scientologist anymore.

Scientology isn't even a religion. It's an organized scam posing as Religion.
There's no fuking religion at all in Scientology!

Your whole being Jim is based on the "belief system" of climbing and that climbing promotes and keeps you alive, sane and healthy and that's how you conduct your life.
