Good point, SS.

I think I like the sound of Team Homo better than Team Huckleberry or Chuckleberry...it's a nice little diversionary tactic in a way. Think about it...are you man enough to play on Team Homo? ;-)

(Riley's laughing...Wolfie's running in the opposite direction...Stevie is hiding up in a tree...and Nature just took his sock and cap and went to the Serious table--hahaha!)

i like TeamWAYhomo better

can i join? hehehe

seriously tho don't get your hopes up that i'll be able to attend. i do pick up trash when i go hiking tho, always.

at that time i'll just be getting settled into school and work and don't really think i can just jet off at that time. it's too critical for the rest of the semester. it MAY happen, but that's certainly no promise, tho i'd love to see some of you. there are a couple of you i'd ESPECIALLY love to see, and you know who you are. so props and major shout out to those of you who are gonna be there doin whut u do. much luv even if i'm not there. just open up your hand and catch the rays of luv i'll be sendin' your way.

We hope you can make it, even if it's just for one or two days on the weekend. There should still be sushi on Saturday night, plus the big party on Sunday. Lots of fun.

Last year a fair number of people came up from foothills towns just for the weekend, so there may be possibilities of carpooling, too.

That's why I don't go to the organized Facelift parties, you run into freakazoid Hubers and O'Neils....and I'd get caught dancing. That ain't pretty, man.

Edit: I ain't climbing with any partners named 'team wayhomo'. WTF???

Glad to see my photo of Timmy reappearing - proves that if you point the camera and click for long enough, you're bound to eventually take a decent shot.

Let's hope that at the FaceLift we can do better than the city of Houston. It has the lowest recycling rate of any major city in the U.S. - 2.6% (!) San Francisco is at 69%, and New York at 34%. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/29/us/29recycle.html?ref=us

I guess it's un-Texan to recycle, or maybe an infringement on states' rights, or possibly a liberal eastern conspiracy, or maybe just resistance to the nanny state.

Bluey...no one INVITED you to climb with the coolest guys on granite, so don't go gettin' yer tidy whities in a figure 8.

(We'll take photos of the fun, though...if we can stop laughing long enough.)

Hey, I just checked my email and compared it to the site maps for Camp 4 above...

Ken, we gotta talk!

Let's just say... I don't mind walking a great distance to get to the restrooms?

I guess it don't matter, unless the winds change direction.

Anybody have any beta on the funk coming from the restrooms? Which side is better? What time does the place air out? Do I need an extra gas mask?

This is need to know info. I think I've been selected for disposal by stench!

Jingy, I was wondering about that too. On the map that Doug posted, Site 30 in Camp 4 is next door to the toilets. On the side away from the doors, but there is a 24 hour light, and traffic. I stayed in that site once, but it wasn't very peaceful, even by Camp 4 standards.

Ken's note said we'd be in site 30 - some of us are arriving early, to help with organizing. But I vaguely remember that we were in site #30 last year, and that it's in a different place than on the map. I sort of think that it's the first site east of Columbia Boulder (marked 'rock') on the map, on the north side of Camp 4 - I think they've got it as #34.

Beggars can't be choosers, but a week or more camped beside the outhouse might get a bit trying. But then, YP may be an alternative.

fattrad - Never met... You chubby? Or just an agitator? See you at the Facelift, maybe!

Mighty H - It doesn't matter to me much about the traffic, or the lights.. I usually sleep with the ear buds in and my eyes closed.... It's the smell I'm worried about. I'm thinking that I'll check things out and if it is too bad, I will head to the YP area. Was there last year and had no problems. A week of foul? Maybe!

I trust Mr. skinner

Jingy and Mighty Hiker ... love you guys.

say, in my yellow pines camp reservation it says I have A for one night then transfer to B for 5 nights then back to A for one night. ....no numbers....should I be scared ? I received my confirmation for site from Ken back in May. What do you think ?

L - you don't need to convince me. if it's possible and won't negatively impact my schoolwork, i might show up. i just realized i have this habit of popping up randomly just before amazing things happen. it continues to astonish me. but i'm sure wherever i am, something cool will be going on, so we might be having fun at the same time, even if not together in the same place, and can telepathically send high five vibes. and don't miss, when i send you yours. that would be telepathetic. hehehe

We were in 30/C4 last year. On the north side second site in from the entry kiosk. Well away from the rest rooms. Do we know how to get aholt of Doug for more info?
