Lois,

There's much more, if you care to google.

Many of these folks were the old pro-segregation dixiecrats, who switched parties in the 60s 70s and 80s.

Am I apathetic? Am I cynical?

Who gives a flying f*ck.

Do you Obama supporter seriously believe he will make a difference?

Do you Billary supporters seriously think she is any different?

And McCain, a hero in ‘Nam but a coward in his own party for letting them sh#t on him. And his policies sound dangerous.

Is this the best that America can come up with? A has-been war hero? A charismatic messiah-like preacher with all talk and little substance? An ex-first lady that is ruthless?

Gawd, is our country in trouble.

And before I am lambasted about my critique of Obama’s policies by Riley and like, I have taken the time to read what this Kennedyesque messiah has to say and I am not convinced. Is he not a bit naive, to say the least?

I do not agree with LEB much, at all, but she is right when she, and other, indicates this guy is being lionized. Before his time.

I only hope that he gets in to such a poisoned chalice and proves my suspicions wrong.

I’d like to believe in this guy, because of his message of hope and change. Yet, something rubs me wrong about him. SO, I AM NOT CONVINCED.

Let’s hope that if he is elected POTUS, that I am wrong and mistaken.

And those on this forum who know of my previous posts, must realize that I am not a neo-con or anything of the like.

I am just wary of this guy’s “following”. It seems, a bit creepy.

Lois, I don't have time to do it right now, but look it up. The hate-wing of the Republican party is large, active, gives a lot of money, and is influential.

Dingus, whatever, at least I am not blind in the hopeful sense of the word.

Punctuation, - I’ve believe I have never corrected anybody on this forum or any other for typos, grammar, etc, that is part and nature of forums such as this one, right or wrong. If criticizing my punctuation is the best you can do dude, then perhaps you should check a multitude of posts that you have created.

Pot calling...

EDIT
It's sort of amazing, for better lack of words, that one is suspect of a politician running for POTUS and receives criticism. Whatever happened to questioning authority, those in power etc....?

Riley, Dingus, et al, you can worship on the altar of this man, but I reserve judgement. That is my right.

EDIT
It seems a bit, creepy.

When you talk of taxes, why haven't any of you discussed what must come soon because of babyboomer retirements. Entitlements are going to go through the roof soon: SS, Medicare etc. When you put those expenses on top of all the funds necessary to fund the various programs Obama and others would try to put in place, it isn't and won't be possible, even if we got out of Iraq and cut the military expenditures. In other words, pie in the sky.

DM,
That won't be even close to enough. Further, the universal health program will be the most expensive entitlement going. It will be more expensive than security/military expenses. Of course, if you don't mind your taxes being doubled, we might get close. Like I said, pie in the sky.

" dirtbag,

the religous right is influential with some elected Republicans, but not McCain, they either hate him or mistrust him at the very least. And they're right, they'll get nothing from him in the end."

Bullsh#t. They'll want payback for their support. And they'll get it...

Dump SS and Medicare. It contributes to population growth. I don't have either so why should anyone else?

Lois/DMT: Obama makes no bones about the fact that taxes are going to go up.

Of course taxes are going to go up! How the hell do you expect to pay for this war? The piper must be paid.

Now we know that you GOPers are all about taking personal responsibility and always believe in doing what is right. So let the GOP take responsibility. Obama's tax plan should be simple enough. Anyone who was registered Republican in 2000 should have their tax rate increased by a third. Anyone who was still registered Republican in 2004 should have their taxes doubled.

You guys voted us into this mess, it's only right you buck up and get us out of it.

Clinton can't win the nomination. At this point, party officials should really start pressuring her to step out. She simply doesn't have the numbers working in her favor. David Brooks in today's column gave her about a 5% shot: that sounds about right. All she can do is scar her rival.

And Clinton can?

I'm looking forward to the debates Obama-McCain debates.

"You raise an interesting point on both counts. I think Obama IS more electable then Clinton but I am not so sure you can fault her as an individual for sticking in there"

See, here's the thing. This isn't a general election where candidates are expected to fight to the bitter end, this is a primary where a party goes about picking a nominee and does what it can to ensure the nominee will win. Because at the end of the day, the other candidate will still have a lot in common with the loser. This is why the party needs to start stepping in, as Richardson did.

Well, that tells us a lot about you, Lois.

By the way, what is your definition of liberal?
