Yeah;...that's his first...I think it's Lost Horse Peak, or something like that;.....hike to the mine, then up a faint ridge to a little bump/summit.......He cheated though;....I carried him to the top.....but summit is still summit. He's older now;..that was before the twins were born......Here is a more recient pic of Beck......

Gene: love the hand in "Almost".

That's part of their charm.

The Maroon Bells are nice but the summit of Pyramid Peak just to the north has charm plus because there is no uncommitting way to reach it.

I've go slides around here somewhere. I'm just lacking a scanner...

Find thee a scanner, I'd love to see those. I took photos on the Bells, not on Pyramid, and I've been meaning to start their own thread.

So I went and started a Maroon Bells thread elsewhere. All Elk Range topics welcome.

But then for something completely different ... a summit photo with views north towards a cold-war zone, and south towards one of the densest cities on earth.

Hong Kong DOES have cool topography, though I've never seen a semi-blue bird day like your pic (only ymuggy and cloudy, or rainy and cool)

Ho, but that's not Hong Kong!

Museum, the view in your top photo looks familiar, I'm sure I've been there many times.

Here is a good one. Mt Reynolds in Glacier. Fun, short, easy scramble.

Man those are gorgious summit photos, I especially like the pre 1980's photos. The companies these days should take note on the styles. Amazing things this earth has to offer.....
