Hear, hear. Fine variety of time & place. Aya's off to a good start as well.

Hey now, we're off to the hills, as I imagine many of you are too.

thanks all, and especially Marc_from_Québec... I always thought that the bugs would be too bad for climbing in the summer without long sleave shirts and pants, with the arms and legs taped shut!

Nah... No bugs at all except in June. And even then, there are windy crags with few bugs.

Larry: It's not *that* far... You're always welcome to come if you'd like...

Oh, I love the look of Aero-Tango, Marc.

I need to get up there some day soon. If only my partner'd pay your government to show that he'd rehabilitated himself and they'd let him back into the country!!! :)

Nice thread, I am going to sully it with some under 5.11 routes.

Bastille Crack in Eldo Canyon in about 1492 (MB on the lead)

Gill Route on Baxter's Lost Pinnacle in the Tetons (Paul Doherty climbing)

Little Sheba in T Mdws (Steve Mitchell climbing)

Steve Mitchell following on the Grand Wall at Squamish. We climbed Merci Me then attempted to free the ancient bolt ladder right to the base of the Split Pillar. All the hangers were gone and I ended up aiding hanging wires over the bent and rusty bolts.

Great little route in the Meadows -- the Great Circle Route

Linville Gorge, The Mummy. Those were those really stiff, triple-thick, bell-bottomed Great Pacific Iron Works climbing pants

And finally, from before the invention of color film, Gemini Cracks at Looking Glass Rock in south-east north carolina

Oh well, it's been a while since I've posted 'em.

Quite the 5.0 pitch 600 feet off the deck... OR, Whitesides, NC

Gotta love the hip jam. Back in the days when I used to carry a too-big rack. Chickenhead City, Rumbling Bald, NC

How many screws can you place on a 50 foot, low-angled, hero-iced pitch? A ton! Something piddly at Stony Clove, Catskills, NY.

Easiest photo of a climb ever, if you can get a belayer who can keep the horizon straight. CCK, Gunks, NY.

Lord of the Rings countryside in New Zealand's pretty photogenic, too... Smith Rocks, New Zealand.

Buttshots never come out too great, oh well. Shockley's Ceiling, Gunks, NY

Actually, I was serious. I think that my old mind is going--too many boulders in too short of time, can't process it all. Thanks, though, now I remember. Call me if you come over, and I see what I can do. Molly is just leaving Whall now.
