Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I can't even begin to imagine what you are going through emotionally. This may be Bobby's toughest climb, but if anyone can make it he can. He has a wonderful family, and many friends to support him through this.
I am soooo tickled to hear that Bobby is breathing on his own, even if it is for short stents for now. Thank you all for the updates during this past week. It has been so wonderful to see how old friends and communities have been supporting Bobby.
Many prayers, much love,
Cheryl, Milo, Aly, and Jack

hey there all.... i am new here and dont know anything about all you wonderful folks and all your great climbs.... but i joined in here to be close to my brother ( mark chapman, chappy) as i learned that he had posted here, and i missed seeing him all these years...
i was very sad to now learn of your friend, bobby... i am a praying-folk of long-time-standing and i will pray for bobby as well.... head injuries touch my heart greatly as i have known of folks who have fought so hard through these traumas, in various ways...
say, i hope to encourage you all, as they have said that bobby's condition, from what i read, so far--has not changed...
if you all can check out any public info, here on the internet, about PBR bullrider, lee akins... his skull was stepped on by a bull, and obviously, he had a traumatic head injury... he has lived and now, only about three months later, is doing well over their expectations... (which were not good).... he is finally able to walk with help from others and a walker, and he was singing the alphabet with his daughter, though his speech was mostly jumbles---i know this may not sound like much, but these are miles stones and his wife credits all to a massive prayer alert.... if there is even one success story (and there are others), than the door of hope, through prayer, may be open for bobby, too.... dont give up and you will never have regrets...
so keep up the good work, here folks and pray for your friend... every head injury is DIFFERENT though, as there is so much involved with the brain.....
as i am ready to cry, here... i think i will go and pray... please hang on for your dear friend, as perhaps he just cant do it now.... sincerely, neebee.... (or lizzy-beth, to mark)...

Dear Bobby and family (Anne, Faith, Bob, Jim, Austine and all who love him),
The Clymers in Cody have all of you in our thoughts and prayers. We first met Bobby when he was a boy of ten or so. Full of curiosity and energy even then. We have followed his career with interest, often wondering where he finds the courage and strength to accomplish his many feats. We join his many friends in prayers for the best of all possible outcomes.
Affectionately,
Paul and Frances

Hi Model Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. I've known Bobby since I was 5 years old or more than 27 years. He has always been an influential person to me. I have been fortunate to do many things with Bobby, besides rock climbing in the college days. I remember the days of "cowboying" at the ranch, hunting, skiing, and just driving around the Cody country.
Out of all the people I know, he has always given 110%. Whatever life puts in front of him, he has always been optomistic.
God can do miraculous things. I pray that God uses his healing hand on Bobby's wounds. We are continually thinking of you all.
Thanks for all the updates.
Love Eric, Erin, and Tade Geving

About 6 months ago I found a picture of Bobby that I had taken while on at a ski meet. For some reason I pulled it out of the pile and left it on my desk. Since, many have seen it and asked who it was. With fond memories of those days I would tell them. Bobby made everything interesting! I will continue to keep his picture up. When I look at it I will say a prayer for him and his familiy. I will also remember to look at my 2 little boys with more patience and gratitude.
Life....how special it is!
Bobby-Faithy-and Family, I send my prayers.

It is with such unique loathing that I log on to this Forum now. Each time since Bobby’s accident, seeing this thread near the top of the heap, I just fear we might find there the final terrible words and so hesitate. His condition is so critical and the accident so meaningless that our nausea is really too much to bear. The strength and forceful hope directed towards him is just out of this world, though, and brings us back on our feet. Gee what more can I say? I join you all in this and just keep hoping.

Bobby....you are so much in my thoughts since I heard of Bobby's injury. We went to school and skied together as casual acquaintances, and had a beer together in Kaycee a couple of year ago. Your name has continually come up over the past couple of years through a mutual friend, Shep Vail, as he keeps me updated on your adventures. I am so in awe of your accomplishments and travels. I truly wish you the very best and I know you'll be out adventuring again soon...your zest for life is too great to let this slow you down for long. It's amazing how something like this can make you feel more for everyone in your life and want to treasure every moment, not just let those moments pass you by. Bobby, Faith, and family...my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am sending all my energy and prayers.
I went to school with Bobby and graduated with Faith.
I had not thought about Bobby for a long time, and last week I was talking with my boyfriend about rock climbing and told him about Bobby - climbing and taking photos all over the world. I was stunned and still am, about this news. ~Bobby, stay here with us, if you are able~

Dear Bob, Ann, Faith… everyone,
We were so devastated to hear about Bobby. We’ve both watched Bobby grow up as he turned into such an astounding young man; finding his passion for life in helping others. His adventures, conquests and triumphs have been experienced equally by everyone who loves him, and we know he is fighting this setback with the same enthusiasm that he did everything else. We love all of you and are praying along with everyone for his quick recovery. Johnny & Pam Feeley

Dearest Model Family,
My husband and I ran into Bobby buying groceries the last time he was in Cody.
My class at school had been working on a quote "He who has felt the rain on his face and the wind in his hair has experienced the Divine." On that blustery Cody day, tall handsome Bobby Model with his warm grin and *energy* seemed to fit that quote so perfectly. I wanted to take him to class with me and show him off: "See, I would say...this is exactly what that looks like."
Models, you are never far from our thoughts.
