One of my favorite Olympic moments....
A friend of mine in the biathlon missed 7 of 10 shots in the sprint and finished 86th out of 87. In the individual she only missed 1 of 20 shots and ended up 22nd out of 87. Nice!

USA still has the record, winning 37 Olympic medals at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. 9 golds, 7 silvers and 21 bronzes.

Norge goes down to Great Britain, in curling. BwaHaHa!
So now France is an XC ski power and Finland finishes 8th in the team jumping?
At least they beat the US.
Their skiers seem to have disappeared, too. I blame it on Nokia.

To see the way the German bobsled team ran over to the Canadians to embrace their common victory, or the way the woman skier (forgot the name) ran to embrace the fellow team mate that had just edged her out of the bronze is some of the most inspiring stuff!!
Then again there are the Elizabeth Swaneys.
How shameful!

The one still shot I saw showed her all discombobulated on one turn - weight back and on the
uphill ski. That was prolly the one turn that cost her. A pity but she’s still the greatest.
