Curt, I base my opinions about someone on what they actually DO.
Like lie every f*#king day? As high as 60% of his statements? That kind of what they ACTUALLY DO?

Flynn was sacked for lying to Pence, not for talking to the Russian ambassador. Back channel
'talks' have been done since time immemorial. That he did so before he was officially in office
is just nit-picking. How is talking to somebody grounds for blackmail?

It's grounds for blackmail because the Russians knew he lied and that he would be fired if they told anyone. Pretty basic.

Looking at the video Locker posted(Kellyann Conway on ABC) - when Trump comes down from the helicopter and salutes, at about 1:30, his body language just has a look of shame. He doesn't look the Marine he salutes in the face, and he continues on with his head down. As he moves, his head remains down, his shoulders stooped. This, from a man who is fully versed in "publicity photography and videography," and is well aware the camera is rolling.
To me, it looks like the body language of a broken man who is waiting for the shoe to drop. He knows that it could happen at any time. At any moment, one of those hideous members of the press could jump out of nowhere and ask the question, or for his comment on a statement, that exposes him for the treasonous pirate that he is. Yes, a modern day pirate. No more, no less.
It made me feel sad. I don't like to see a person suffering in anguish, knowing the pain and humiliation it will cause his family, believing that he will very unlikely survive the exposure long enough to go through trial. I would not be surprised in the man drops dead before too much longer. People actually can die of shame, when they haven't the moral fiber to acknowledge their part in a horrible thing they did. I know that from witnessing it firsthand. Some choose suicide, and others, too afraid to take the action directly, develop an illness that does it for them.
But I have to remind myself that he was a grown man, who made the decisions he did with at least SOME awareness of what he was getting into. All actions have reactions. Every step we take leads us down a path.

It would all depend on what they talked about.
If Flynn talked to the Russians before the election, to let them know that if Trump won he would ease the sanctions against them in return for Russian help in the elections, that could be construed as treason.
That would make pretty good grounds for blackmail, don't you think?

Flynn violated the Logan Act which prohibits private citizens from negotiating with foreign powers we are in dispute with. he should have been sacked for that alone, but it was only when he embarrassed the VP that he got the hook, pure politics.
The guy knew it was wrong, and that is why he lied about it. He is way to high on the food chain to be ignorant of the law, and the accepted tradition that we only have one president at a time. they hate America.
The Russians also lied about it, surprise surprise. Flynn gave up when he found out the calls were recorded. How much corruption is going on in this administration that is not recorded?

Happie, I love you, and your beautiful heart.
However, that beautiful heart is ascribing human characteristics to someone that just doesn't have a heart....or at least has a heart no larger than his hands and is only used for pumping blood.
I do not believe t is able to feel human emotions in the way you or I do.
My interpretation of any human emotion you might have seen was more akin to embarrassment at having been "caught". But even for me that's a stretch because I don't think t is capable of typical human emotions.

Wait, did Reilly just say that Flynn talking to the Russians about sanctions before his man was in office, and then lying about it is nitpicking?
One president at a time is also an important principle. Like for example, let's say that Liz Warren has decided to run in 2020, and her surrogate decides to start calling foreign governments and making deals with them. Just because she hasn't officially taken office yet would be ok, because it would just be nitpicking for it not to be ok.
The clip at 12:05, about Alex Jones, who 45 actually likes, is too good not to share.

I learn so much on ST
TOP DEFINITION
Dumpster Juice
That liquid which continuously oozes from urban city dumpsters across the planet. The liquid is a comglomeration of the contents there-in with a touch of acid rain, sugar, spice and the occasional severed limb.
John Doe did so hate having to urinate in public alleys, if not for the simple fact that this required extended periods of time standing in the dumpster juice of the alleyways of the world.
Your mom's stew taste like last week's dumpster juice.
