If you say you are from the UK, so be it. I didn't realize there was alot of climbing there but then what do I know about climbing.
Johnx01 : There are some minor crags in the UK

One thing I will say is that you are likely to be 50+ or at least rapidly approaching 50.

The 'Yabo' Thread, you were going fine till you started all that multidimensional psycho babble nonsense, you know Lois I took you for a lady of science, I saw lab coat, short cropped hair, smart but casual, one inch heels maybe. After that little outburst I see cheesecloth tops, sensible shoes, bibbed jeans, tree-hugging, crystals and chanting. I bet you've even got a dream catcher hanging on your porch.
You make a fanciful speculation where no empirical evidence exists, this does not become a scientist.
Rockjox: Right on the money, I suspect she is a little affronted with me for my impertinence, but if this angle has been explored before I could understand that.
Locker: Mate you need to get some help, I mean I'm getting concerned about you, you maybe need some therapy or something, you just don't seem...... well happy with yourself.

"My patients do NOT have to choose either/or when they see me."
That suggested a scene in my compost-like mind.
-Hi I'm Lois, I will be your nurse practioner today, would you like a medical or a metaphysical diagnosis?
Just joking.

Jesus H. Christ. I was wondering what was going on in this thread and took a peak. Yikes!
Two questions can now be resolved:
1. DMT == Juan. There is no doubt. You won't find a forum where both of them do not post. This goes back to at least 1999.
2. Lois is a bugfix-release version of the Eugene Maya AI program.
Hope you had a nice birthday, Janet. Whoever you are...

ive heard myth's about this locker guy, i always thought they were just urban ledgends between the josh crowd but now i know they are ALL true!! he is a crude, perverted, potty mouthed old man that has never climbed in his life and only use's it as a excuse to talk to people on the corner of circle k to get them home to see his huge "rack". ive never seen it in person but from those who have and have told the stories, locker is a 3 foot tall leprechaun that eats babies and molests dogs. this must be the biggest non climber on st of all.
please post with caution, "locker" will track you down and show up at your local circle k hunting climbers. youve been warned

Lois, of course DMT and Juan are the same. Has anyone here ever seen them climbing together? No.
I knew you were an AI program early on. Remember the website that could tell if the writer was male or female? Your writing sample was male, and all good coders are male. Sealed the deal.

Are you being serious?
Serious as a heart attack! I always wondered when they'd upgrade Eugene from that old Usenet program to something more sophisticated, capable of handling the new html forums.

The aircon hummed in the reception room of the LEB Suite in the Glen Gardener County Hospital, Dr Lois read the case notes carefully.
He'd been brought in bound and gagged by two guys in a pick-up truck, the nurse thought there names were Wuss Ralling and Dingus Cheesecake, but it appeared to be quite a confused situation.
That was four days ago, since then he'd been tied to a bed in his 'tighty whities' in the foetal position, babbling incomprehensibly.
The intercom buzzed, it was Janet, her clipped Canadian accent announced she was on her way up with the patient. Dr Lois stood up and stepped round the front of her desk.
All her years of practice could not have prepared her for this, Janet stepped into the room holding the long bony hand of a dwarfish, sinewy, 'gollum' like figure with wide staring eyes. Their eyes locked as she spoke "Hello Locker, I'm Lois it's so nice to meet you". A wave of terror washed over his face, his eyes rolled and a ruvulet of spittal leaked from the corner of his mouth and down his chin.
No normal medicine could treat this 'creature', she lead him out to her ceremonial teepee in the grounds of the GGCH. Like an animal she tethered him to the shamanic totem and stepped into the tent. Humming to herself she unbuttoned her floral dress and let it drop to the floor, she scooped something from a clay jar near the fire pit and started to smear her body with bear fat. After rubbing cold ashes into the fat, she commenced the mystic painting of her body, finally she kicked off her sandals and slipped on her psychic elk skin moccasins, she picked up her shamanic drum and stepped out into the sunlight as 'Long Winded Dear' Shaman of the Shushoni, magical healer, warrior of the other world, she started to beat her drum and dance around poor old Locker.
Three days and three nights she fought those demons, when it was over she slept for 48 hours solid and was woken by a nurse telling her that Locker had just made his first post on SuperTaco, it was commenting on a slight mis-spelling in another post, it was polite and grammatically correct, she
smiled to herself at a job well done.
Over the next week Locker's post grew in content and volume, people were amazed at the transformation, carefully thought out theories on climbing ethics, a discourse on Ancient Greek attitudes to the State. She did not post, just read and wondered at her patient's progress. Ten days later she had just finished reading Locker's last post(2 Gigabytes) on Metaphysical Bouldering, a tightly woven and carefully argued treatise on Bouldering and American Foreign Policy, she could resist no longer, she logged onto ST and posted..............

Geez,
We've all been quite busy here, eh?
Ed: nice spiders from mars. did we play it left hand and play it too far? correct me here.
Janet: Happy belated Birth Day!
Russ: 215 huggable pounds, all the more of you for us to love I'm sure.
John: welcome to the fracas. i'm sure Lois admires your wavy mirror as much as the rest of us!
(no shyte dirt, outstanding fresh drool i agree).
JayBrah: we are all Strange Angels, with our natty little monkey paws gently caressing the filigree'd triggers of our sputtery little flamethrowers.
LEB: no worries, i suspect we only have so many Yabo srories in us after all.
Carry on Locker, er, I mean, Slowly Back Away from the Delete Button and put the edit down...
(at the bottom, per usual).
