I wouldn't be surprised if the park gets bitten in the ass by announcing the opening weeks in advance. The weather looks a little uncertain this week and could put a damper on th party.

Heard from a friend in Lee Vining it was spitting some snow this morning, low clouds and fog. Anyone else hear how the pass fared today?

It was a grayish-green and big arrowhead made of chert; probably 3-1/2 or 4 inches long. I turned it in because it was obviously going to be found (near the parking lot). The NPS archaeologist said it was a minimum of 600-years old, predating most everything of what's normally found around there.

Beth, miss you, even tho we don't connect that much.....mostly due to me working to much and not getting out to JTree as much as I desire.
Please, let's connect this summer. A climb, hike or overnight backpack. Steve's invited too. I have lots of gear. :D Really mean it. Please keep in touch.
Cheers and Peace, lynnie.
PS, Do you have my cell? If not I will email it to you.
