Ballsie...

What they call a climber who likes to push it to the limits....

There are old climbers and bold climbers...

PS
Pod People should definitely make it in to the climbing slang and terminology dictionary...You can just picture them weaving through the boulder fields....Gets my vote...

Grade X, zBrown, where's yer imagination?

This is the Grade where everything that you try to place is useless and you pack it in.

I always imagined that Grade X began with a G. I guess that's why I never got hired on at Pixar.

Jeez, I can't find my knees.

Yeah, "belaytio" is pretty good. Year's ago, when my wife was living the year round ski bum life in Aspen, this happened to a couple she was friends with.

Dang... there was another one in addition to the one I already posted I wanted to mention, but can't remember it. Senior moment or maybe one of the 8,345 interruptions in an hour from my kids. :-)

Bragging rights to the first person who comes up with what the English climbing slang "FULL KNICK" means...

"Full conditions," as in snow, wind, rain, or any combination of the above.

"We ascended Ben Nevis in full nick."

When I was first getting started in climbing in the late 70s, I learned technique, attitude, ethics, and lifestyle by reading the Brits.

Then I 'hit 'im.

Dublun... hmm, I like that one. Seems practical and rolls easily from the tongue.

I believe Yellow Point and Turtling are still competing for the winning spot. We need a poll.
