Dawn and I once had a pet rabbit that lived under a counter in the kitchen.
His name was "Rabbit" and he was not neutered.
He was caged.
He overlooked that most of time because we fed him well and he got to play in the yard.
You think he would be a happy rabbit and not be a pest.
But get him excited enough and he would start peeing ALLLLLL around the room.
Just a crotchedy old fart rabbit spinning round and round in a slow and deliberate circle letting his little weenie fling whizz.

FM's stuff was pretty funny, at least the first couple of times. When he started focussing on Lois, over and over and over and over, it crossed the line.
Lois is a troll-extraordinaire, and when anyone feeds that troll with anything, it is waaaay more of a reflection on them than it is on Lois.

Here's mine: Chris, dont' show up with a sledge hammer after a 2 year absence and start slamming on some fairly decent, but interesting and passionate folks after you've shown NO INCLINATION EVER TO GIVE A darned WHAT FOLKS SAY. Those guys are all valuable posters, but it seems that to you, anyone can sit and talk sh#t all day and no one says a damned thing. Till now. Then (out of nowhere) WHAM!.
It's a good site here and needed some moderation, but everyone seems to contribute here or there. Even Fatty (Jeff) climbed and contributed: Weschrist did as well, and yet they were diametrically opposed politically and their discourse was interesting.
My thought is this: I'd suggest that you take out yer little ballpeen hammer every once in a while and whack a post here or there. Just make some mean spirited post disappear. You've missed thousands of them in the past, but lets leave that be. I'm talking going forward. A mean spirited posts here or there where they are totally uncalled for should and will be banged off the site. Blammm, someone says something mean and inappropriate, blamm: just delete it. Gone. The individual posts get deleted, but not a poster. Leave the sledge hammer in the trunk for emergencies or when you really need it. Every once in a great while, you pull it out and toss a poster for repeatedly posting that stuff and not letting up. But don't pull it out "fait accompli" just randomly and at will. Pull out the little ballpeen hammer and whack this port or that......as an ongoing process when it's needed.
Eventually, all of us will start to see the light:-) Thanks Jstan for all of the very interesting posts by the way....
