Crack wrote: Obama has been in office for 3 years. How has the middle class done in this time? Has the gap between rich and poor narrowed? Why listen to empty promises and propaganda when we can look at his record?
So you expect Obama to change in three years what has gone on for over 30 years?
What has happened is 9 quarters of job and GDP growth. Bin Laden is gone, along with fighting troops in Iraq, passed a healthcare bill, rescue Americans from pirates, Gaddafi is no more, taken out major players in the Taliban, save the US car industry and basically handed the republicans their asses on almost every issue.

Far below average job and GDP growth. Most recessions we come out of with far above average GDP growth. After Reagan was in office 3 years GDP was 8% (not 2%) and we were adding a Million jobs a month (not 200K).
To be fair, this was not a normal recession, but that is part of the problem also. Obama still treats it as a cyclical problem, not a structural one. Nothing he has done is helping to solve any of the structural issues, only the symptoms.
Also, I love how he railed against bailouts and promised there will be no more while bragging about the success of the Auto bailouts.
Apparently we are not going back to the "economy weakened by bailouts, bad debt, and phony financial profits".
We are just going to keep the one we have.

Well mister where have you been? Reagan third year in office unemployment was almost 11 percent and he didn't have two wars and the greatest recession since the great depression to deal with.
This wasn't like most depression..know it all.

The under achieving red states would dry up and fade away with government bailouts/jobs...including Texas.

While I don't agree with the US being the worldcop I do admire President Obama's cool demeanor when weighty sh#t is going down.
You can't have it both ways. Is is because Dems are cool when they kill people? Or it's o.k. for Dems to bomb people, but Repubs are evil occupiers when they do it?
Awesome operation either way.

We have unemployment at almost 9%, but much higher if you count the underemployed and those who have given up looking.
And actually yes, the recession of the 70s WAS the greatest recession since the Great Depression (at the time).
At any rate, we could sure use those Million jobs a month, couldn't we?

"Red States" refers to how they voted for President, it has nothing to do with their state legislatures, Governors, etc.

Crack...The annual unemployment average during Reagan's presidency was the highest of all post-WWII presidents. It was 7.54%.
Great job by Reagan.

Yes and Carter had clean up the sh#t left by Nixon and Ford.
Reagan continue to blame Carter for everything well into his second term.

Crack...what you speak of makes no sense...like usual.
54.2 million: The number of jobs created during the nearly 30 years in which Democrats have held the presidency, beginning with President Truman in April 1945. (Comparable BLS data is not available for full presidencies before then.)
34.6 million: The number of jobs created during the 36 years in which Republicans have controlled the White House during the same time period.
1.1 million: The number of jobs gained under President George W. Bush, the smallest job growth for any president completing at least one term. The seasonally adjusted jobs number fell in each of Bush's last 12 months in office as 4.4 million jobs were lost.
22.7 million: The number of jobs gained under President Clinton, the biggest job growth of any president.

It is not what he HAS DONE, it is what he has NOT DONE. He has shown NO leadership here at all (although neither has Congress).
Government agencies were hunky-dorey with the MERS system as long as it was increasing homeownership through government sponsored loan securitization. When the sh#t went down though they threw the investors and servicers under the bus and let ambiguity reign so that servicers were afraid to foreclose because paper records cannot always be found, even though the stone age method of County recording is not conducive to the securitization that the government was pushing. Now the ownership on millions of homes is in limbo.

What does any of this have to do with my point? I am talking about Obama's record vs. Reagan's. Obviously you agree that it is abysmal, which is why you are posting sh#t that has nothing to do with the subject at hand.

Instead of playing this stupid game that goes back all the way to George Washington, why don't we look at the state of the country when a president comes into office and the state of the country 4 years later? That is about all we can know.

In that case Cracker you can say nothing about Obama until his first term is done. We however have two full terms of Bush's Republican failures to shred to confetti.
So Fats, as long as someone profits homeless families are good like greed eh?
