Not me in the photo... but the chalk came through for me again when Blue Collar Crack, a 5.9 crack, felt more like 5.11 last week...

These photos are from an overnight trek in Grand Canyon National Park taken a few months ago. Loved having Paul along!

Glad to see Paul's Balls are still going strong a year after his passing. Thank you for posting about your trips with him. I am glad he is still going on adventures.
God bless you all!

Interesting idea. I'd like to get my ashes tossed off El Cap. There are worse places to spend eternity than that.

Paul's Balls are indeed going strong, glad to see so many posts and photos.
We recently took Paul up Queen Victoria, a tower in Sedona. Glad to have him along as always.

He's climbed in Eldo, South Plate, Boulder Canyon, Clear Creek and yeah... Woo soon.
if my grand scheme for the summer/fall works out he'll also go up the Hallucinogen Wall, Naked Edge and the Casual Route on the Diamond.

I seem to recall that Paul posted a very moving short autobiography covering some of the harder times in his life and talked about his tree climbing work.
Can any of you point me to that posting? I want to show it to my wife, another Humboldt Co expat.
With respect and honor to his memory,
Darwin

Remembering Paul... and visualizing he's climbing, soaring and being amazed.

Are you kidding? This is way less weird than finding flowers from a funeral on the beach and knowing somewhere, somebody's ashes have been randomly strewn on beach and bayside just before you got there. Duh.
At least you are consciously performing a ritual, instead of walking accidentally into a cloud of "Donny" blown over from the Dude's beach.

Helping to fulfill Paul's unique request is an honor.
Paul was climbing with us yesterday at Indian Bluffs in Iowa.
Doing this for him helps me better appreciate the beauty of this world and the friends and family we share it with.
Climb On Paul!

Paul rode with us to the Aiguille De Joshua Tree last week.
I wonder if Paul got yelled at when he scampered up the thing:

Paul is headed down to Red Rocks then on to Moab and Indian Creek in about a week. Love him as one of my traveling companions!

Two days at Jackson Falls in Southern Illinois
These are just a few of the places that were touched. I couldn't get photos of everything as we were moving quickly from place to place. One of my favorites was "Pete's Lead". I'm still new at leading on gear and had a good time doing that route after a couple of rehearsals on TR.
