With all of the carnage and drama we've seen in this tour, we've also been witness to some of the most heart-wrenching acts of valor and heart.
Flecha and Hoogerland continue to race, when your avarage football or baseball player would be on the IR for months.
A selfless leadout by the world champion and yellow jersey holder, Thor Hushovd, to set up Tyler Farrar to take his first tour win. Followed by a two day, world class defence of that yellow jersey, when he, and most tour experts, doubted his ability to do so.
Tour noob Tejay Van Garderen (a boy from Boseman Mt.) shows a veterans tactical savy, puts himself off the front in an attempt to win a stage, and becomes the first american to wear the polka-dot jersey.
And we're only at the half way mark of this race.
Gawd I love this sport!
It's time to put-up or shut-up, the mountain stages have arrived.
GO Cadel!

Gee, I'm shocked to see Stage 12 unfold........NOT!

And here come the Schleck's!!! Frank pulls into SECOND overall (just fall back gracefully Cadel.....this ain't your discipline). Poor AC lost more time....boo hoo.

Good stage, I had a feeling Frank was more ready than Andy.
Tommy Danielson was solid, he is finally living up to his potential.
Cadel, Basso, Voeckler all looked good. Levi was OK. Contador was worked.

Sweet.

Contador is in 7th, 4 minutes back. Without his bad luck the first two days, he'd be in a virtual tie for second with Evans and the Schlecks. I'm into it.

Nah, Contador's gained, he's picked up 7 seconds in the GC, 4:00 now, was 4:07 after St 11.

Only true in his fight against the French gentlemen, but he did lose time to all contenders. What a race this year though, loving it. Cant believe my fav breakaway guy Flecha got wiped out by that car. But today, dang those are some beautiful mountains.

Aloha,

It was funny to hear Contador's interview.
"They kept talking. I knew they were up to something."
If I were Contador I'd learn a few choice words in lux like, "you" "ready" "go" "I'm tired". Or maybe something he could say like, "in" "time trial" "make" "you" "my" "bitch". ;)

It was cool to see Basso come forward, and to see the Schleck bros double teaming attacks. Contador needs a "steak".

GO CADEL!

France = 45 riders = 0 wins With apologies to Thomas Voeckler. Gotta love
