I booked my flight, and am actually sharing a car with a new partner I've been climbing with lately. I mentioned that I was going and considering flying out of Albany instead of JFK, and she said "Hmmm....I might like to go...." So, that's quite helpful to me. Instead of having to get to NYC and deal with that (for a 7am flight), I can go to her house overnight, and her b/f will drive us to the airport. Plus a shared car rental expense.
My friend Ha is also coming this year - she lives in Bishop. And I have one other person I hope will come out at least for some of the days.
So - the clan is growing!

Is fish cool, Jaybro? If not, WTF do you put in it? Lots of avocado? Mushroom?
I'm serious. I used Cod and Sole in my FishTacos last year. Pretty good.

i'm cool with fish. beans (esp blackbeans) are the bomb as long as they don't have lard, like many canned beans do.

Fish it is, Jaybro! I llike using a nice light fish for the tacos. Sh#t, I can even let you cook you r own if you like. I don't really do anything special to them. Maybe a bit of olive oil, some mild seasoning.
I figure I'll do the fish, Fatty does the meat, and we all do the fixin's (tomato, onion, avocado, spinach, etc...)
Speaking of FISH, it would be cool to get Mussy to one of these gigs.

I propose, given the recent discussion on the "God" thread, that we come up with another word for "meatfest". It's all becoming so fuzzy...
How about carnivorefest or BBQ'fest or cowfest or beeffest or just plain...Tacofest or anythingbutsushifest (BYOP) ((protein)).
We're a diverse crew afterall,

Who All's really considering FL this Year ?
Has anyone checked with Ken to see what the FL nightly schedule of events is ? Last year yo guys managed to hold the Yellow Pine BBQ of delectable delights on a night that worked with the rest of the FL schedule.
Is Harrison going to be our camp host again :D ? Besides climbing the rock, Hope we have some campfire musicians, singers, poker players, bocce ball throwers, story weavers and of course a few brave souls to get up early and make the coffee. :D lynnie
Edit: don't forget the half and half

Did I hear someone say Bocce ball? I love Bocce, but somehow I just can't wrap my mind around it in the Valley. I would change my tune as soon as the balls were whipped out.
You know what I mean.

Beginning to get excited already! Yes Lynne... we need campfire musicians. Anybody up for a dayhike/trash collection from TM to the Valley?

I'll be happy to supply charcoal again, and maybe even some meat. Shish kebab, anyone? It would go nicely with some of my older cabs or zins.

//Anybody up for a dayhike/trash collection from TM to the Valley?//
I'd be interested in several such outings, maybe every second day, unless Ken has something else for me to do. That is, energetic day hikes to and from the Valley, or along the rim, cleaning as we go. Perhaps with a pair hiking in each direction, exchanging keys in the middle. You see more that way, although the key is to search thoroughly at common stopping places, behind logs and under rocks.
But I make no promises about living up to my nom de plume. :-)

The ontheedge family is booked. Will you be camping On the Edge of the northwest face of Half Dome? I thought camping up there was no longer allowed. :-)

Anders will be camping with us in the YellowPines slum this year.
What, so he and Jstan aren't going to be terrorizing C4 dirtbags? Is he up for tacos? Fish or meat? Whiskey or Gin? Wine?
too many questions with The Canuck in the site....
