I think if I can make it another 24 hours I will be free!
Pray for Juan. Soon the Monkey on my Back (AKA Figures on a Landscape 5.10a - Which I fired onsight all pitchs no falls while high on pot) will be dead.
I have to keep closing my eyes as I drive through intersections in the San Fernando Valley so as not to see Starbucks.
I pass 24 on the way in to work.

Juan DeFuca--Living, Climbing, Working and Coffee-Free... in Hell.
Stay strong brother! Strong like a black french roast, with the oil of the sweet bean spiraling on the surface of god's own brew.

Define "serviced," as in "serviced by Starbucks Girl!"

The barista position?
The double Barista?
Glass bottom Barista?

Juan,
If you were drinking straight coffee you should be free of the addiction within a week - it takes me 3 days. However if you're having sugar product in that coffee, that can take longer.
Good luck. After 6 weeks off I'm now back to drinking 2 quad espresso's a day - usually made at home but too often from SB's.
Best, Kim

Just giving up my 800mg Venti Drip.
Going back to drinking cups of tea.
Why spend $1200 a year on drugs.

Now mind you I love my tea and I think it's best to go back and forth. Or I might go tea during the week and coffee on the wkends. But Lately I've been slurping up the coffee like there's no tomorrow. Kind of like Will Ferrel in Kicking and Screaming. What? I was forced to watch it on an airplane. Really, it was pretty dam funny.
Anyhoo, what spawned this whole newfound passion was an espresso maker I got as a gift. Besides I was gettin sick of puttin up with caffe mochas w/ too much chocolate (is there such a thing? yes, when it just tastes like your sucking down a cup of mo-lasses.) and soy milk (I prefer rice milk). The unit is a 6-cup, but really, that's a joke, euros- inflating numbers again, just look at their shoes sizes... "yea, I'm a 10". "Vell, ah em a fohty-five!" puffing up chest. Penis envy or somethin, I don't know.
Any waaay, IT is really only a 2 cup okay? American size. I feel like such a big shot now. I got a lb of fine, classic french (oops, did I just say that?) roast, nice and black, right before I left for T-meadows. I tell you, that little pot cranks...I could rip two batches under 10 minutes. I'm having so much fun, who knows how much money I'm saving? without having to buy, buy, buy! I'm thru! I got my ice mochas down now too, and my caffe mocha is so scrumptious, you'll say "Dang that's good"! The secret is, well, I can't really say why my mochas are so much better than the regular ones you buy at a store. Except maybe because they only cost about the same as what the stores pay...probably 40cents. Cost to serve the public by a Starbucks Girl: 3 bucks or more. Withdrawals by Juan de Fuca: priceless.
