Considering how many birds get chopped to pieces by wind turbines, it's little wonder that they crap on the things.

Edit: Sorry, I didn't look too closely. I guess it's not really high enough, and the blades aren't long enough, for generating power.

Yes, there's no free lunch even in the 'green world'. Those mega wind farms have quite a few negative aspects. You'll be hard pressed to find unbiased data on wind farm bird kills.

This is the opposite of a wind turbine.

This thing uses energy to create wind, instead of the other way around like a wind turbine.

There's a diesel fired V8 on the ground at the base of this thing, which drives the fan via shaft. These things are used to keep oranges from freezing at night in the winter.
