Curious to know if Clark Canyon on the eastside is accessible yet, or if there is still too much snow right now. Thanks for any info !

I haven't heard anything, but I bet it's fine.

Snow at Mammoth Mountain was good this year, but the snow below 8,000 feet was stripped to the sage brush twice this winter by warm storms.

If you get blocked by snow, you can often get to the Stumps.

You'll need trad gear though!

Greg, if there was snow, it would be on that hill by the cattle gate and the rough patch. A shovel might solve the problem.

There might also be some snow in the Potato Patch, but that just means somewhere to chill your drink.

Hi,

We climbed there on Friday. No snow at all on the road in, and only little patches left in the trees on the northern aspects. The temperatures were in the 60s and and there were only two other parties there. Perfect conditions.

It's perfect.

The road just past the last fence has gotten a bit rougher. Yesterday a dude with a Subaru or something didn't have enough clearance to make it past that point so beware if you have a lowrider.

Does anyone know the status of any closures for raptors in effect?
