This is part II of the MisterE discussion after climbing this weekend.
All you guys think it's oooh so easy for girls to find a guy who climbs. WRONG!!
This is the thread where the (past or present) ladies can tell their stories of...
Single Female seeks actual climber and what happened next.
Not poser climber, not pseudo climber, not noob climber, not semi-climber with super jealous non-climbing pregnant wife but the single guy who wants to climb as much and as hard as you do.
It's a lot harder than you think fellas.

A close friend of mine, very good climber, delightful company,
has one heck of a hard time finding a partner who can climb,
and belay, and resist puffing his chest, and be ready for
a trip when he says he will etc...

i thought the title meant:

wondered if they needed window washers???

A timely thread. I was just telling some people this weekend that I was getting so tired of on-sighting climbing partners each weekend that I was thinking about posting a Want Ad for a dirtbag ropegun/climbing partner for the 2009 Gunks season.....

Ok kids I'm home from work and can not devote myself to this very important issue at hand.
Rest assured, Russ and I are still happily unmarried yet together so my posts are of past experiences or as sympathetic bystander.
Scenarios that come to mind...
Girl meets boy, boy claims to climb but that means 5.7 top ropes with helmet, backpack and carries prusik,nut tool, glove, roll of tape & cellphone on harness while sport climbing. Girl tries to hang in there but ultimately is no match for dungeons and dragons.
Girl meets boy for friendly climbing, boy has significant other.
a) significant other has problems with boys platonic relationship and is a psycho towards boy & girl
b) boy ignores SO's request and/or boundaries necessary for platonic relationship
c) boy has no boundaries and girl must constantly "handle" the situation making it more trouble than it's worth
Girl meets boy, boy is fun, likes to climb, ruggedly handsome and travels the world on year long climbing trip with......HIS DATE(=not you)
Girl lvoes to climb, girl meets really swell guy and wraps her entire climbing experience around him. Boy is less than nice and relationship ends. Girl must find new partners, get on the sharp end and avoids creeps trying to just get into pants...

climber girl's S.O. boy goes nuts, pouts, picks fights out of jealousy, threatens climber boy, withholds sex and makes climbing life a living hell for climber girl.
