This is Jene.
Jene got into climbing two years ago when we got engaged. Here she is on her first ever boulder problem, The Scoop in Rocktown Ga. She didn't send but went on to crush some easier stuff.
Starting off.
Balancing smeary feet on two shallow monos. The next move is a big left hand to a hidden dish.

Unnamed 5.8 arete. She got a little shaky at the slabby top (27 ft or so) but pulled it together and sent. Her first real head
trip!
T-wall, Tennessee
After a literal 5 minute lesson on crack climbing Jene was good to go!

lucky men you are. treat those girls like the gems they are.
my gal 'gave up' a year of her life away from her family to follow some stupid fancy dream of mine to travel around the world. she gave up a lot for that trip, biggest was losing her grandfather and missing the funeral while we played in the mtns of nepal.
here we are a month later in india:
absolute love of my life. for 20 years i've been perplexed as to why she has hung around.

Great companion of 29 years. Don't even suggest she's over 50 now as her spirit is still 20.
Seen here hiking up with me back in last year as I'd left my rack just laying in the dirt next to the trail after a day of soloing. Sucks to get old:-) That Jack Russel in the right disappeared into the rocks looking for critters and we didn't see him for some time....heard him pretty good though LOL!
