I think in lockers case one could argue atavism: He CLEARLY hasn't progressed, evolution wise, past his/our prehuman past. The bullying tactics are proof positive. In addition to his being a clever little creature with smart, but simple tactics. He IS able to function in an intelligent and modern world. The proof that he hasn't evolved highly is his lack of human spirit.

Climbing for me is neither sport, passion, nor atavism. It's just a fun activity

I think I've climbed with an atavism. Dudes are still brachiating.

Is it true LEB you do not , or have not ever climbed?

Seems like at this point in your Supertopo career you would have given it a shot.

If you did try it you might be able to answer your own questions...

Climbing's more than a sport,
it's a way of life.
It's a way of looking at the rock
and saying "HEY BUD, LET'S PARTY!"

Never quite understood threads like this. Climbing is what it is, the meaning of which is to be determined by the individual who partakes. Funny that the originator of this thread has, alegedly, never climbed.

Why is it that I see a thread posted by Lois, and even if it attempts to be climbing related, I won't even bother to read it?

Nothing against Lois who seems like an ok lady, but maybe you should stay away from a climbing website?

You can always count on LEB to do at least 1/2 the posting on her own thread .

If you think about it, it's a dumb question. Way too limited in it's scope.

My answer to the question is "Yes". And climbing is other things, too, including poetry.
