Anyone know if a new edition is in the works? I've decided to stop sponging off my partners (except for beer) and get one. But it would suck to get one and be out of date shortly thereafter.

When was the current edition released? 98?

Thanks.

'94

Why are those chicken bolts on the cover? Why are they on the route?

When they slapped a new cover on for the FalconGuild, I thought they would at least correct the mistakes of the 94 edition.

But what's with this gossip of a new edition soon? Anything real?

Oops, you're right. I forgot about the newer Falcon edition... Guess I'm not current.

The gossip I heard is that the new guide has been tabled for now by the publisher.

Strange. But maybe they figure there is no market for an off-the-radar place like Yosemite Valley.

Or maybe they have a lot of the last edition piled in a warehouse?

I don't know. I have already tried to order one, and failed twice!

I like to support the local bookstore, so I order all my books and guides from them. It took about 5 weeks for the Falcon Tahoe guide, and they told me the same for the Yos guide.

But... it is a small little shop, and they've screwed it up twice now. I thought they might be out of the old guide or something, and I thought I'd heard a while back that a new one was in the works.

I heard that Don was collecting route info with a deadline (since passed)... haven't heard if or when the guide would appear.
